Howe said when we bought Gordon something along the lines of “I always wanted to buy him, just the opportunity came up early” - if he wanted him long term plans and it’s coincidentally the player whose getting the press at the minute as most of the country thinks he should be playing, it just seems wrong and made up on so many levels to me.

You don’t get to be that rich by being as incompetent as selling your player of the season and one of the few players that was available the whole season to boot just to prevent a points deduction when you’ve always said this is a long term projects. I think you’re right about the pif however if it was just us then yes we need to look inwards, if it truly is or was sic as reported then the system needs to be challenged - that’s around 30% for Christ sake.

I like him as he’s more direct than our other right sided players and I’m happier for him when he scores than anyone else but people don’t bid for our players - it just doesn’t happen.

He may just be the first person I ban or whatever it is you do.

TeamTalk putting a horrible angle on it thought (as they have with us on a few stories last few days, trying to push the Isak to Chelsea etc) - saying things like "Newcastle are desperate to move on Tripper to Ac Milan, the Newcastle star is one of several players getting stick for his performances". Not mentioning he's playing out of position.

Southgate did specifically mention Gordon’s pass

If he doesn’t play another minute now all it does is make Southgate look incompetent as everyone has seen that pass.
