Josh Denzel is the England guys name and I agree he's actually very good. Has a similar sort of personality to alot of the England players which is why he gets on well with them in interviews. I do think going that route and having a specific person fronting some of the media we do and acting as a sort of a go between for the players during videos/interviews is a decent idea. As much as I'm enjoying all the new content they are doing, some of it is incredibly cringeworthy.

This guy seems the most suitable long term replacement. I know we tried earlier in the window and they rejected €16M and €18M but perhaps the extra cash from Shelvey deal will allow that to creep up to the magic €25M (if that really is his release clause).

I can see it happening. Someone on Twitter mentioned that the club more willing to go big in these last few days due to the risk of the amortisation of deals (because of Chelsea) being stopped in the summer. That does make sense, to try and get a couple of big deals for youngers players (long contracts) done in January just in case that isn't much help for FFP purpose in the summer.

That is a very good point. Joelinton back into midfield for good now hopefully. Gordon should offer just as much in terms of pressing/defensive ability from that wide forward area as Joelinton does and obviously more than ASM.

When it's put that way it's hard to see why anyone would have an issue with this transfer.

No way are any of the "Top 6" loaning us any players this season or ever again for that matter. We'd have to buy Ziyech or Gallagher if we want them and I'd not want to take Ziyech for the money they'd ask, Gallagher would be tempting though.

Even if it is £40M then that doesn't really have a huge impact on FFP. Assuming he'll be on a 6yr deal as he's only 21, thats not even £7M a year on the FFP scale, barely anything.
