Id agree in most circumstances. Although there would be some caveats. For example if the choice was to loan a player like Broja and get Harrison say in permanently or just to go big and get one of Diaby/Paqueta/Isaak then I think I would choose the single big ticket player in that case.

I'm liking these recent rumours of Diaby, Paqueta and Isaak. That's some serious talent and I'd go as far as to say if we only got ONE of those 3 I'd be over the moon. In fact I think getting 2 is almost unimaginable and all 3 I think is virtually impossible. Paqueta would still be my preference but arguably Diaby is the position we need to fill more urgently and Isaak is perhaps the one with most potential. Hence why I'd be pleased with any of them.

That's painful to look at and not because it's ugly but those colours do soemthing strange to my eyes.
-
I'd be more than happy with Paqueta and Cornet. Although if that means not getting another ST I would be reluctant.

https://youtu.be/W9Vb6_kzadY Tifo: Sensible Transfers for Newcastle. Basically suggesting a new CB (Kehrer) and a new RW (Pulisic). No mention that we should get a new ST or CM. Definitely would go for a new ST over an extra CB any day.
-
I'd be happy with Paqueta and a ST. I think we can cope with the current RW we have and perhaps Willock there also. But we cannot cope with just Wilson and Wood.
-
Yes in this case we probably do. That's not always the case though. Sometimes a club can have by far the highest bid yet the player will turn them down in favour of another club. I know you were trying to be funny but it didn't really work
-
You'd think if we were interested in him we'd have got him by now. However, we wanted Botman since January and only just got him so there could be many many reasons. You'd like to think we would be his first choice if a bid came in, just have to hope our bid is one Lyon would accept over anyone else's.

The fuck is up with his hair let alone the dress sense.
-
Maybe, maybe not. Definitely the right quality/level of player that we need to be linked with. Perhaps he is 2nd choice after Diaby and Harrison 3rd choice. Would make sense, we can't get our 1st choice every time, just isn't possible right now.

Got one of those Castore Newcastle Scuba Hoodies 6 months or so ago and it's top notch tbh! No complaints from me.
-
Would be horrible to see him playing at another Premier League club. Hope it doesn't happen. Its here or nowhere Paqueta!
-
Funny they've got Ronaldo in there promo stuff and he doesn't want to be there. No shame .
-
Hudson-Odoi would be a no from me. Only got into that Chelsea team because Lampard couldn't buy anyone else and once they could he barely played. He's not a top half Premier League level player.
-
The prices are crazy admittedly. But if you want to get a training top, perhaps look at last year's ones now. There will be plenty for sale still at hugely reduced prices.

Fuck off with loan deals. Unless they are paying his full wages they can get lost.
-
More versatile than those 3 though and I would argue is a big voice in the dressing room. Wears his heart on his sleeve at times, may need someone like him around this year.
-
Everton won't let Gordon go, he needs to stay for a season or two more and keep progressing then they will get the really big bucks for him if he turns out the way they expect. The more I watch of Diaby the more I'd like him here.

Open now! Mine team is done......for now

I think throwing everything at Diaby/Leverkusen to get him in isn't an entirely stupid idea if it works but it also undoubtedly undoes the work we have put in so far in convincing the footballing world we aren't going to overpay or be forced into massive deals just because of who our owners are. We may well get Diaby using the kitchen sink tactic but we could well blow our reputation for being hard ballers before it's even cemented. Alot of clubs/players will look at the Ekitike deal (which seemed hours away from being signed and sealed) and think differently about us than they perhaps did in January or May.
-
He's the one I thought would've been snapped up by now. His lengthy contract here may be the issue, depends how motivated he is to leave. Says alot about Hayden that he clearly wanted to leave for first team football and did so fairly sharpish.
-
It would be a strange turn of events if Broja went to Everton and then we signed DCL. Everton may be desperate to get some money in while they can. No doubt the FFP guys are breathing down their necks.

Is the training gear available for sale yet? Had a look on the store but couldn't see it, unless I'm looking in the wrong place.

In his 6 seasons at Bournemouth he played over 25 times in 4 of them and 30 or more in 3 of those 4. 26 is the most appearances he's had in a season with us. So perhaps Howe will have a plan in place for him, to keep him fit for longer and injury free as much as possible. Not having to rely on him to play 90minutes whenever he is avaible because we actually have another capable ST or 2 will also play a big part.
