Mcneil has been awful. No surprise he hasn't got a move elsewhere.

Henderson sometimes wears a hat when plays, it's a no from me

This is the summer to go big and by big I mean £150m on 5/6 signings. Then in the summers following you can look at gradual improvement with £60/70m spent on 2/3 players to improve the squad. Even spending £150m this summer minus the £30m or so we can recoup on players wouldn't be that ridiculous given what we spent in January. Also, I don't see Man Utd wanting to loan a direct rival Henderson. If we do really want him he'll cost a fair chunk of £40m and honestly I'd rather we spent that money elsewhere.

It's happening isn't it?! Lyon have a game Saturday, a fairly meaningless one admittedly but still there must be something happening for him to be allowed away for this amount of time when he should be training.

Looks like a Blackpool kit.

Next season is going to be one of the most intriguing in recent history. Not only because of the way the World Cup mid season will affect every single Premier League team but also because of the way Howe has changed us in a few months and made us part of that conversation for Europe. It used to be the Big Four, then it became the Big Six. Next season I reckon there will be 11 clubs who believe they are good enough to qualify for Europe and who will spend accordingly. The usual six plus, West Ham, Wolves, Leicester, Aston Villa and Newcastle. Its going to be incredibly difficult for Howe next season, every team will be strengthening and every tiny detail will matter. I do have every faith he and the sqaud are capable of it but I won't be pinning all my hopes on us finishing top 6 next season.

As others have said, there's so many other areas of the squad that need strengthening first, he can stay as 2nd choice RB for now. Still has his negatives but ideally Tripper stays fit all season and Krafth only needs to play 10 or so games.
-
I'd take Gundogan for certain.
-
Surely won't want to stay at Villa next season and be back up to Digne. Time for him to move on this summer, whether that's here or elsewhere in the Prem.

As much as I agree with the sentiment that it's difficult to drop some of these players. I do think there is a essence of rose-tinted spectacles with your comments. No matter how well they've done tonight and in the past few weeks Longstaff, Burn, Schar, Dubravka and Almiron are the first 5 that spring to mind that definitely require replacing. I know alot won't agree with me but we do need a new starting CB, CM, GK and RW as minimum.
-
Straight choice for me between Almiron, Fraser and Murphy for who warms the bench next season. They aren't going to be starting but all 3 provide something as an impact sub. I think Murphy will go I think but not so sure who we'd be better off with out of Fraser or Almiron as second choice RW (assuming we buy a new one)

Arsenal have been poor so far, let's not forget that, but we've absolutely bossed the majority of this half and deserve to be infront. Unfortunately we can't find that final ball into the net....
-
Suarez on a free anyone? Just confirmed he'll be leaving in June. He's 35 and scored 11 goals this season.
-
Philips is definitely one I'd be hugely impressed if we signed him. He's not a stop gap, he's still young, he can grow and evolve and he was a huge part of the England team that got to the final. Would I take him over Paqueta? Probably not but that could just be that I feel Philips is more similar to Bruno and we need a player like Paqueta in our squad. Philips, Paqueta and Bruno would be an unbelievable midfield 3.

Imagine looking into the future a year ago and seeing this. You'd have assumed that he'd have gone on some unbelievable scoring run and finally found his feet as a striker. Whereas actually its near enough the opposite of that, he's scored a few but it's been about everything else he's done rather than goal contributions. Fully deserved!

With Darlow and Dubravka potentially leaving and Woodman possibly going out on loan again. Assuming we sign a new #1 Keeper, would Ben Foster be a decent free signing for us?
-
Whose the guy making the initial run through the middle? Couldn't see his face or number properly. He looks decent.
-
Loan to buy is surprisingly sensible.
-
It does make alot of sense, Lascelles would command a fee of some sort, less so Fernandez and Clark but selling a player for X amount and bringing a similar (yet ultimately better) player for free is a no brainer. He wouldn't be the only CB to come in but would add Premier League experience to the squad and he's reliable if unspectacular.
-
I'd like that but in Black and white. But saying that, I much prefer Castore over Puma.
-
As most have said Tarkowski for FREE is a good signing. He becomes a squad/rotation player and would probably make only 15apps or so next season. I'd be all for this especially as Fernandez, Clark and Lascelles will hopefully all leave. He's dependable and is a leader also, no brainer if he's happy being 3rd/4th choice (depending on formation we play, could be 3 at back ofcourse)

We aren't owned by Notts County of Juventus though. I get the idea behind the Green and white and I actually think it looks really smart. But there WILL be a backlash from the media over it.
-
Just on character/attitude alone, I would rather Danjuma than Raphina. Raphina is a persistent moaner and ref botherer. Almost got himself sent off after Dan James red card because he wouldn't shut the fuck up.

I hope the fixture list is kind to us next season. I think that could help alot if we get a decent run of fixtures from the off to set us up well and boost the confidence of the players and staff.
