The Big Boss is in town for 24hrs and the wheels are starting to turn. I'm hoping for two more (not including Ramsdale) by this time next week........and Isak out the door.
-
Is 4 million sizeable? I wouldn't have said so. That's less than Chelsea had to pay to NOT sign Sancho 😂
-
It's the weekend now lads, nothing's getting done. Back to it Monday afternoon for another rejection. At this rate, most outcomes in this window will feel like something of a failure. Isak stays - He's got a lot to do to untarnish his reputation and we still need three signings in the door. Isak goes - we best hope its not to Liverpool else we'll never hear the end of it, and we also have to hope it's not to a Saudi team. Then we'll need to sign four players minimum with hardly any time to do it.

This would all be very funny if it wasn't happening to us. Absolutely ridiculous set of circumstances we find ourselves in and they get worse with each passing day.

Pre-season (2026/27): NUFC to play Everton at Murrayfield on 12/08/26

Three weeks from the start of the season and we have no senior striker. This is going to be fun. -
That's gone done £10M in the last 3 weeks. Brentford were asking £50M back then.
-
Getting closer to Friday now, need to hurry up with this before our recruitment team are off for the weekend. We need to start next week with Wissa done and start the focus on a CB.
-
Can't see it being £30M. £35M + a couple million in adds on is my guess. Which is crazy really but he's at his peak I suppose and over a fiver year deal it's not so bad.
-
This smells exactly like the other four failed transfer attempts.
-
This may seem a reactionary thing to say and in a couple of weeks may looks stupid BUT, if we end the transfer window in the position we are currently in right now, I hope Howe decides to walk away. I cant see anything else genuinely shocking the club into action/change other than that.

There's time.... -
That pre match training shirt is fantastic! I'll be getting one ASAP.
-
Don't see how we could even contemplate that with Longstaff going.
-
Not really. We're seemingly incapable of doing more than one deal at a time. I'm happy to be proved wrong but I can't see us making a signing per week before the first game of the season.
-
As true as that may be, those attempts have now wasted a lot of our time. Feels as if for at least three of those you've mentioned we've gone for the player without having a clue if they are interested (they weren't) where we should've figure out that first before losing weeks even trying.
-
Based on the fact we've done ONE in the previous four weeks, that doesn't seem likely. Three in at the very most and that's if things fall our way. One of those being Trafford, so that's either a back up striker or CM we miss out on. No way we don't get a CB, that would be criminal from the club.
-
I'm basing this purely on YouTube videos so take that into account. That Savona guy looks pretty poor to me. It could just be that whoever made his highlights has done a poor job. But he looks like a fairly slow, clunky kind of player who likes to stick his legs out wildly and push people about. No doubt I'd prefer Scalvini, he looks far more competent and much better on the ball.
-
I doubt it but I do reckon we could get MGW. They want him to go but just not to Spurs 😂
-
Yes their 1+1 = 3 journalism will always come up with these answers. Franks at Spurs so immediately any Brentford player will prefer Spurs regardless of anything else.
-
I'd really enjoy us getting Wissa in the next few days and then Brentford refusing to sell Mbeumo because of that. Also, Sesko being rumoured is crazy. That would be more insane than Isak and Ekitike. Even less likely IMO.
-
Hugo Ekitike (not playing for Liverpool for a while)

Liverpool already struck a deal it seems. They've clearly given up on Isak.
