It wouldn't be, that's why we need one more really. But Ramsey certainly helps. I'm reality there's probably no occasion that the "second choice" midfield all play together at the same time other than cup game against League One/Two teams.
-
His 23/24 season was awful for injuries. Got to hope that was just a one off. The three hamstring injuries don't seem too bad considering they kept him out for around 5 weeks each time.
-
Miley can cover Tonali or Bruno's position. First choice midfield: Joelinton - Tonali - Bruno Second choice: Willock - Miley - Ramsey Ideally we'd get someone else in because Willock is a crock but it's okay other than that. Plus we have Lewis Hall who could do it in an emergency.

Twice the price, but he's better than El Khannouss that's for sure. And obviously a different type of player but he's better than Longstaff who he is essentially replacing in the squad.
-
Surprised it's only four years considering his age. Perhaps there is a +1 option at some point during the next couple of years.
-
If he does well, he will be. The fact he's an exciting attacking player will help massively and if he can get himself into the Korean national team that will help even more. Hwang isn't a particularly exciting player and has been involved consistently for the national team over the years but he's by no means a regular starter.
-
No, Hwang at Wolves is also Korean.

So that's Isak saying fuck you to the club basically. If this is true, he's an absolute loser. This is his way to force a move and it will probably work, we just need to hurry up and get someone in now. I want to hear the the loudest dirtiest boo this country has ever heard when he comes back to SJP in another shirt.

Never going to be starting against Villa. Even if he (somehow) signs today, he won't start. He's had basically zero preseason and will have had maybe two days training with us, if that. Best we can hope is he comes in before Villa, gets some minute's off the bench against them and is somewhat closer to being able to play a considerable part against Liverpool.
-
I think that ship may have sailed. Seems pretty clear from the last weeks worth of rumours that we've set our sights a little lower than we have been doing in the previous 6 weeks. Samu maybe the closest we'd get to a marquee signing now. And even he is still a youngster with a lot of potential but also a lot to prove.

El Khannouss doesn't really strike me as Eddie Howe type of player. Especially for a midfielder. He's not tall (5' 11"), he's not a particularly powerful runner or a strong ball retainer and his goal and assists record is very poor (albeit he's mainly played for poor sides). His only saving grace seems to be a decent ball winner(for an attacking midfielder) and he's still young enough to improve his all round game. This one doesn't excite me but I can't definitely see the logic in it. He's pretty cheap, he's got some experience of the league and he's a different profile from any of the midfielders we have currently.

Yes and no. That is partly the case but that reasoning wouldn't explain his high Progressive Passing stats.
-
Well in that case he'd be perfect alongside Burn then rather than Schar.
-
Similar to Schar but not and exact replacement by any means. Thiaw with more passes surprisingly, and also more accurate with those passes. No suprise he's far better in the air than Schar as well.
-
Is that the fifth, maybe sixth mention of Isak during this game.
-
The worst cross ever 😂

I'm really not ready for the wankfest from the media/pundits/commentators every time Liverpool play this season.
-
Considering he's been linked for a while I am surprised we've not gone for Rudoni yet. The club clearly aren't certain about him for whatever reason, else you'd think it would've been done by now. Feels like an easy one to get sorted if we really wanted to.
-
0-0 please. Can't face them going a goal up and us having to find a way back into it.
-
Okay, now we're getting somewhere.
-
£34M is simultaneously way too much and also hardly anything. Considering his age and experience at a high level it's decent for a CB that can still improve.
-
He's fine and he'll play tomorrow according to Howe. Thank fuck for that.
