Well, shockingly beating Spurs changed our fortunes. Tends to happens when you win a couple of games.

Chelsea's next two aren't easy and our next two also aren't easy. Anything is possible if we beat Man Utd. Brighton could get something against Chelsea based on what we saw today.

No I know and that bit wasn't aimed specifically at you, more to the fact that I've seen it so often over the last couple of weeks particularly where people will say "if only we'd beaten team X and team Y, we'd be in 5th already" and that's all well and good but we've also lucked out in a few games and got point we probably didn't deserve. Same goes for the teams around us, they probably all think they should have more points but that's the great thing about a 38 game season, you get what you deserve at the end of it.

Don't disagree with much of that other than the start of the second paragraph. It's not our home games that have cost us this season, we've done just as well this season at home as we did last season. It's the away games, majority of them have been either poor results or poor performances or a combination of both. We've got a long way to go before we can look at games like this against Brighton or Everton or even Forrest at St James's and expect us to beat them every single time, it's just not where we are yet.

Both defences are as bad as eachother. This reminds me alot of some of our games around the start of the year. More goals in this yet.

You'd hope our GD will remain out of reach to Chelsea. They have scored big on a few occasions this season but surely it's far to big a gap to bridge.

Although we didn't batter them with shots and chances it felt very similar to that Leicester home game last season. Big atmosphere before the game, huge amount riding on it but alot of the line and we failed to make the right decision so often and that cost us in the end. The occasion does seem to get to us more than Howe would like I'm sure. Off the top of my head, it's only really PSG this season where we've done well in one of our "big" games.

Two away games is the worry but let's not get carried away one way or another until after the Man Utd game. That's when to start crying if we don't win.

Perhaps a sign of why he hasn't been starting games recently. Who knows what's up with him.

I would say from that last 10 minutes that was exactly their intent.

Brighton managed that game better than we did, even with alot of their better players missing. Huge opportunity missed, Man Utd is even more of a must win now. Still in our hands but our grip is loosening. Just got to hope Chelsea lose or draw and that'll make it a little easier.

Damn. That's a bummer, hopefully it doesn't affect our confidence going forward.
