I follow England on Twitter and I've not Gordon in anything yet. Admittedly I've not gone back through everything from the last couple of days and checked but I wonder whether he's still actually injured and hasn't trained properly yet? Might struggle to make the SJP friendly if that's the case.

It's a shame for the fact he wouldn't have cost anything and that would've freed up money to be spent elsewhere. The fact he's gone to Chelsea where he'll end up on their scrapheap in a year or less is even more disappointing. On to the next one. Plenty of ITKs will have mud of their face after this.

It will be interesting to see how Southgate uses him this summer. Perhaps his performances for England might change a few minds one way or another. If he starts at LB and smashes it then who knows, but I could also easily see him dropping a stinker in the first group game and not being seen again. He feels like one of those destined for the Championship or someone like Everton. Alot of years at West Ham and has never held his spot down for a prolonged period of time. Still only 24 but I think there's better out there even for free.

I know alot of people have been saying that players won't care about us missing Conference League, and in terms of the prestige of that competition I probably agree BUT it does mean there's less games for those new players to get given a chance in. Adarabioyo could quite correctly be thinking he'll get more opportunities with Chelsea given they have more games now they're in Europe. Who knows.

Ashby was injured alot at Swansea last season. Hopefully Howe will see a good amount of him in pre season and be able to make a decision one way or another.

If he goes anywhere but City, Madrid or PSG (maybe Bayern) I'd be annoyed. He's guaranteed trophies at those clubs, even if they are only domestic ones at PSG. Anywhere else seems a silly move if his aim is to win things.

It's risky but it does all depend on the price as you say. If Wilson's sale covers the cost (amortized) of DCL then I can see the sense in it. But obviously the likelihood of him immediately then getting injured once he joins is pretty high.

If Ramsdale is really available at £15M you can see why that would be tempting . The difference in price between the two could get us a Lewis Hall type signing (more or less).

Shame Minteh isn't taking part in this Australian tour. Would've been perfect timing getting him integrated with the bulk of the squad. I can see why he's not there and no doubt Howe will make a better judgement come preseason but still a shame.

No one has that right now. It only takes a crazy Salah move to Saudi, PSG paying something stupid for G Jesus and suddenly come July a few clubs might have the ability. I don't think it will happen because that would literally be any PL clubs entire spend for the season (incl January) but it's not impossible if those clubs sell players.
