When he came on, he played as the deep-lying midfielder and Bruno then moved up to LCM for a while before getting subbed. It’s the first time Eddie tries him there, and that allowed Bruno to play in his preferred role. He started his career at Brescia as a deep-lying playmaker, and that’s how he got all the Pirlo comparisons (leaving the hairstyle aside). One thing for sure is that both him and Bruno are pretty flexible at playing different roles in the midfield.
