And I afraid once Burn gets back, Livramento will sit on the bench again.
-
Let’s do it again three more times.
-
And we had no real scoring opportunities.
-
Good run Joe, or whatever that was.

Is this the worst match we’ve had under Howe?
-
Even Romero plays like Messi now.
-
Loved that from Miley, but Almiron is just trying too hard sometimes.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United: 10/12/23 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

Son was injured and taken out last game, he might miss this one, fingers crossed. -
I don’t see the Spurs match thread up yet, but Son might miss the game for injury. edit: it’s up now.
-
Isak hasn’t been himself since he got back.

If we make it to the UCL next season with the new format, our schedule would be worse than what it is now with the extra games. We need a bigger squad anyways. It is no longer possible to start the same 11 every game even if we had no injuries, and Almiron will be a squad player if we bring in a world class RW.

Just a refresher on how it is possible for 7 EPL teams to qualify for the new UCL format (very unlikely though). https://www.skysports.com/amp/football/news/21564/12940385/explained-how-more-than-four-premier-league-teams-can-qualify-for-next-seasons-champions-league

Yankuba Minteh (now playing for Brighton & Hove Albion)

I found this from 3 weeks ago, Eddie might recall him in January. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/yankuba-minteh-from-feyenoord-loan-28081450.amp -
Are we “too far away after the international break” yet?
-
Exactly. At first I was thinking how could Eddie be fine with just Isak and Wilson as our strikers, then I realized Gordon could always be our third option striker given Barnes is available as a LW.

Champions League 2023/2024: Group F (Newcastle, Milan, Dortmund, PSG)

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I wouldn’t mind it if we end up third and going for the EL. On paper, we are stronger than all other teams in that competition except Liverpool. We will be getting stronger and more ambitious every season, so next seasons it would be even less attractive to go there. Now’s the season to make it far there. And then if we win it, we guarantee another UCL seat the next season in case we end up 6th in the league or something. -

Longstaff will still miss this one? -
To be honest, they became a completely different team once Vitinha came on for Ugarte, that’s when we couldn’t get the ball into their half even once. The fact that our players where exhausted and couldn’t make a run for a counter attack helped them too. We really needed someone like Willock at that time to bury the game.

If we draw 0-0, we qualify to EL based on goal difference, if we draw 1-1, 2-2, etc we would be fourth due to head to head results. -

I don’t think we would’ve lost if Isak wasn’t injured. The guys are doing well given the circumstances. -
This penalty could be the deciding factor for the R16, fuck that.
