But the pragmatic side of me would appreciate/respect that they have a long term plan and they're sticking to it. Say we over-reach and spend 150-200m, and some of those signings don't work out. It would be a few windows before we're ready (from an FFP standpoint) to go again and rectify the mistakes.

Was FFP by all accounts. Owner more than willing to spend, but they had their hands tied by FFP after chasing the top 6 for so long.

No need for a meltdown. I'm sure he does have sources in the club 75m. Who knows if that is accurate, or just sources trying to manage expectations of selling clubs. Whatever happens I trust the people at the club these days to make the correct calls, both in terms of player recruitment and finances.

Aye. Our new primary sponsor isn't going to want to share their announcement with the unveiling of the new kit. There will be loads of blurb that needs to go out with the Sela announcement. Imagine that happens first then the kit is an entirely separate thing. Wouldn't be shocked if Sela is today, then a 'soft' kit unveiling tonight with Fender or one of his band members in it, followed by the official unveiling on Monday.

We need the Sela deal announced before any new kit can be officially revealed. It's either going to be a very busy Friday, or it's all likely to happen next week.

Only way it get's unveiled before the weekend is if the new sponsorship gets announced today/tomorrow.

This is right. There's a reason it's called 'the big 6' rather than top 6. There are 6 sides in the league who's commercial revenue is on a different, and can therefore spend more than the rest. Granted, Spurs out and us in should happen in the next few years, but we're not there yet. We need a few seasons of consistent European qualification, and to continue our commercial overhaul at pace.

Does this mean they want 100m for each of them, which isn't doable. Or hope to raise 100m selling both, meaning Diaby would likely be in the 50-60m range. Which is more doable.
