  1. I think it's 20, 15 of those in 3rd (source is Wikipedia so maybe, maybe not)
  2. I think it's just a case of putting 2+2 together really - rumours that our next main sponsor will be Middle-Eastern but not Saudi, another rumour about a different sleeve sponsor. I think it's more likely that Noon will stay on the sleeve and we'll have something else on the front.
  3. I hope you're right. I don't dislike the white sleeve one as much as others seem to but I much prefer the striped sleeves.
  4. I'd say up until the World Cup I was in full "Just enjoy this" mode. The Chelsea game just before the break being the pinnacle. Then the focus was on the League Cup which was great up until the point we didn't win it, then my attention was back on the league, enjoying our response to losing the final up until Spurs/Everton when I thought "Shit, we might actually finish in the top four" and then my brain switched from enjoying it to stressing about the various permutations that would see us not finish in the top four, despite the fact that I would have snapped your hand off for 7th before the season started
  5. Obviously you're right that winning the Europa would top being in the Champions League but there's something about being in a group with the likes of Barca, Real, Inter etc that gets my juices flowing. Ideal (realistic) scenario - get into the CL, get a group with two giants and one pushover, finish third, drop into the Europa & win that.
  6. Yeah there was an article about Botswana (I think) taking over the sleeve sponsorship.
  7. There have been some reports that the sleve sponsor will be different next season.
  8. Well, that's one way to avoid the issue of the stripes on the sleeves not lining up with the ones on the shirt...
  9. I'd love a full-on Turkish-style constant booing/whistling the entire time Brighton have the ball.
  10. Well that was 10 games and over two months ago but yeah, if you like Anyway, my point was that when both sides have something to play for, a good side should beat a poor side. We didn't play well enough & that's something we have to accept as the reason we haven't won today. No excuses, play better in the next two, head to Stamford Bridge with top four in the bag.
  11. Let's not forget, Leeds are "fighting for their lives" because they have been largely shit for 30+ games this season. We can't use that as any sort of excuse or justification for a poor performance and we have to play considerably better against Brighton. We'll see how Liverpool handle a team fighting for their lives on Monday night...
  12. If we throw this away (this being this game and/or top 4) then we've only got ourselves to blame.
  13. Might do the same. Send us news of our victory...
  14. Doesn't seem that long ago we were saying similar things about Southampton. Or Leicester. I remember multiple articles writing about how well Swansea were set up with their "culture" able to see them through changes in playing staff, managers etc. Brighton have done fantastically and deserve to be where they are, but it's not easy to maintain a constant top four/six push and plenty of clubs have failed trying it.
  15. He is canny and well connected but that article is pretty patchy.
  16. It's his attempt at an Athletic style long-read presumably. Not great.
  17. Yeah - if Liverpool draw then they can get max 69 points and if we win those two we'll have 71 I don't think anyone else (aside from Man Utd of course) could catch us at that point.
  18. An absolutely elite keeper seems like a "last piece of the jigsaw" kind of signing to me. Once the rest of the squad is pretty much where you want it then you drop £50m on the best all-round GK available.
  19. I don't mind the argy-bargy at all. Trippier vs Jesus was just a swearing match and out of Wilson and Xhaka I know who I think it's the more likely to get themselves sent off...
  20. Arsenal win keeps the title race interesting, good for his paymasters
  21. Full time in the Durham game according to Reddit...
  22. Never thought I'd end up following Durham Cestria Woman's FC on Twitter but I guess that's what football does to us...
  23. We couldn't play him anyway, same reason we couldn't play Anderson at the end of last season when he came back from Bristol.
  24. A half-decent looking sponsor and that's a smart kit.
