  1. Ah, so he’s ’pro-noun’. That’s a positive; he seems to be anti- everything else
  2. Hang on, I thought it was the wimmin and the ‘trannies’ we were after Joey? Now it’s all the non-whites too? So a white male ex-pro knows more about the game than a black male ex-pro? Who could be next on the agenda??? (and how long it will take to get to the Jews?) edit: didn’t see the Islamphobic ones underneath. The cocaine to antisemitism’s heroin. He’ll get through all the racist drugs eventually.
  3. ‘Ho ho ho Captain Waffles’ The irony of Caulkin going on about Waugh being a football nerd, when reading his soppy sub-par fanzine writing is akin to being smothered in a wet blanket.
  4. Zero time for moral relativism. Anyone who seriously thinks that a country which executes people for thinking that their govt is shite is the same as one where the govt is shite but they can vote them out isn’t serious. I’m aware of all the issues in the UK. I’m a democratic socialist, I hardly agree with what has been going on. But to compare that to a brutal dictatorship is an insult to those who are oppressed by one. edit: you’d literally shit your pants if you lived in KSA. Not a single thing you’ve written about the UK govt could you have written across there without fear of arrest, potentially with execution at the end of it.
  5. KSA isn’t a free country and it doesn’t function as one. It’s a dictatorship. It wouldn’t exactly be a stretch to say that Al-Shabab would be under the influence of the govt - and regardless of the shite that the PL eventually accepted, the PIF is a govt kitty ran by the effective HoS
  6. MAIL EXCLUSIVE: Margot Robbie REJECTS threesome with Shearergol and Michelle Keegan. Keegan understood to be interested. Swap deal for Robbie possible.
  7. Basically, I don’t want to see this:
  8. I gave up on the ‘we should sign X’ stuff years ago - though it’s harmless, of course. I’m more interested in who the club wants to sign and does sign.
  9. Yep. There was never any chance she’d be able to keep pace with PIF’s ability to invest. If she’s diluted to 1% it won’t be likely that she’s losing anything (though 10% holding in stock normally does have lots of additional benefits, rules and regs, I can’t imagine that that would have any sway at NUFC. She has a management contract with PIF)
  10. I doubt anyone would be happy to see Trippier leave. Comfortably the best FB I’ve seen in B&W. But we’re going to see a lot of squad recycling in the coming years - lots of sales of players we might not sell ourselves. I’m perfectly happy to trust Howe and the board on those decisions at present - this isn’t Ashley-era Newcastle United. If Trippier stays, great. If he goes, I’ll happily back the current club management on that call.
  11. Aye go on then, you’ve twisted my arm
  12. Not sure - I hadn’t read that, but you could well be right
  13. Agreed, but I don’t think his market value would be too much higher than £11m. Assuming that we don’t need to sell and that the player wants to stay, then getting Trippier’s market value hardly seems worth it.
  14. All he could do is gnash, though. There wouldn’t be anything they could do to block it.
  15. There possibly is no Newcastle United without Keegan coming back as manager. There is no more important figure in the modern history of the club. Watt was club secretary and gets credited as a surrogate ‘manager’, but ultimately the team was selected by committee and tactics decided by the players. Watt was simply the most prominent member of the committee. Seymour was of course one of the ‘Mr Newcastle’s’, but he dismantled a side which likely could have won more than two FA Cups and dropped possibly Newcastle’s greatest ever centre back - Frank Brennan - to the reserves because he had the temerity to open up a sporting goods shop (Seymour also owned one). He was a manager who after the 1951 semi final promised every player who played a place in the final side, irrespective of form. Newcastle were just a few points off top spot with games in hand; they then won one of the next eleven as players simply tried to avoid injury. Genius stuff. Doug Livingstone was a manager who dropped Milburn for the ‘55 FAC Final before the board actively stepped over him and forced Milburn’s selection. Milburn scored after 55 seconds. Hardly a ringing endorsement of his managerial abilities.
  16. While I know you’re taking the mick, we also wouldn’t get £11m on the FFP books for him. It would be around half that
  17. Don’t tell Joey how the cotton for Blackburn’s cotton mills - the ones the entire town was built upon - got there. We don’t need to hear his take on reparations …
  18. There’s nothing Liverpool or Spurs could do about it at all. Al-Shabab aren’t owned by PIF
  19. I’m only suggesting I won’t criticise the bloke if he goes. I’d rather he stays, but he shouldn’t receive a slagging off if he does go
  20. Four plus a thumb. I’m not from Middlesbrough
