  1. Yeah, that’s true. No issue with the club selling anyone and it feels like we’ve outgrown the lad tbh.
  2. Haven’t checked, but would a sale of Longstaff leave us short of homegrown players for the CL? He’s a solid PL midfielder - he’ll attract interest - but it would be a problem if we’re left short in Europe. He’s a better player than he’s often given credit for.
  3. ‘Hatchet job’ as in a BBC journalist reporting facts?
  4. Yep, complete cunts trick, DeludedOf can get to fuck with this one. More than happy to laugh at the daft cunts on their forum talking about generational talents.
  5. Always found this stuff grim, utter shite from DeludedOf to share this sort of stuff. The comments on Twitter underneath are fucking horrific, as well - just nasty, unfunny shite.
  6. I’m still lost as to why their response to Sam Fender’s music isn’t the same as mine - an indifferent shrug. Getting wound up about MOR pop rock is about as Mackem as it gets.
  7. While I think panic at this point is daft, we don’t need to wait until 1st July to sign players on 1st July
  8. ‘Channel 5 bought the UK rights’. Megabucks there, then. Unpopular opinion - but our owners and FIFA are jointly knackering football with this nonsense. Why did PIF feel the need to chuck $1bn at this shite? Was another party bidding $999m? It’s funny how every decision on us seems to take a lifetime, yet they can happily spunk a billion on this nonsense.
  9. That’s how amortisation works - and amortisation is also the reason why we don’t have a huge amount of wriggle-room, because there’s c.£200m of book value of previous transfers on the annual books already. It’s high risk to bring players onboard from CL funding unless you’re one of the Big Six, as we won’t be able to replace that income the following year if we don’t qualify again (and of course qualifying again will still likely necessitate sales, given that the burn rate on previous amortised transfers will have been added again).
  10. *cough cough splutter* https://www.oxfam.org.au/what-we-do/economic-inequality/workers-rights/adidas/
  11. The Blaydon Races were horse races. Rowing was massive on Tyneside in the mid-C19th, and the world’s best rowers came from the area - but they weren’t the Blaydon Races.
  12. Nah, that’s not fair like - she’s been involved in this stuff for years, and not just re Leazes Park That doesn’t mean I agree with her - but I don’t think she’s just doing this to fuck the club ovet
  13. Yep - it’s not about their personal ethics, it’s about not fucking off their teammates. Plenty of our squad might well be dickheads. Trippier is the perfect example - seems to be a dressing-room leader, but also seems to have been a bit of a cunt away from it
  14. Not sure we’re a club which does loans tbh
  15. They’re on double what Isak is on. The most obvious non-starter imaginable
  16. Americans do that with decades, the heathens. ‘90’s music’. Oh, the decade owns music, does it? Lynne Truss would be spinning on her cunt
  17. It’s non-stop. But Australia’s betting problems seem more upfront than the UK’s - the grim spectacle of a pokey room in every fucking bar is a proof of that. Australia’s gambling losses are greater than the UK’s despite having about a third of the population.
  18. *looks at Man Utd’s signings over the last decade* You sure about that?
  19. Yep. I still despise Dalglish. Dalglish and Souness fucking wrecked the club (twice). Pardew managed a zombie club.
  20. All fair enough - he was an obvious yes-man who only got the job due to drinking in the same casino as Ashley. But I still dislike Bruce, Allardyce and Souness a lot more. Difference between shit and shite, mind you
  21. Kelly’s already gone and sits in this season’s accounts and in terms of the rest, the goalkeepers fees would be divided by ten (and even then I’m not sure we’d get £500k for Dubravka). No-one is paying £25m for Willock these days, and Longstaff has a year left on his contract.
  22. He’s not close to Souness, Allardyce, JFK or Bruce for me. I also find McClaren more dislikable
  23. Would be a cracking signing for me. A GK is an obvious need, despite us being able to fill a five-a-side plus subs with keepers at the moment - Pope is a good PL keeper with flaws, Dubravka had a good spell last season but is getting on and isn’t the equal of Pope.
