  1. I still think there is a good player in Willock, and I'm confident that if anyone is going to coach the lad to becoming the best he can be, then Howe is that coach. Not sure if he'll make the full journey with us, but it would be nice if he did.
  2. Hope the lad does well. In my mind it is always a natural fit for Scottish players who head south of the border - we’ve had plenty of them since day dot.
  3. Almiron is powderpuff; there’s just no end product. Of him, Murphy and Fraser, I’d keep Fraser for now, but none of them are particularly convincing. Seems like a canny lad, though. I’d like to see him carve out a decent career in a league more fitting to his abilities.
  4. Henman supports Oxford Utd, from memory My phone desperately wanted to change that to ‘He Man supports Oxford Utd’, which is also likely to be true
  5. I might get pelters here, but does anyone else get a bit of a shudder of embarrassment when the club refers to itself as ‘the toon’ in an official capacity? The same sort of embarrassment you feel as a teenager if a parent tries to act ‘cool’? No? I’ll get me coat
  6. I’m assuming the two blokes with the flag are fans who managed to grab the players and have a photo, and most of the players haven’t a clue what ‘FTM’ even means. I can’t be sure mind, they could just as easily be their centre halves. Does anyone know what a single Mackem player even looks like?
  7. I don't believe anything anyone writes on here re the ownership of the Airport; I want Grumpy Old Man from RTG to tell how the shares at the airport are distributed, and how KLD has a majority of the airport shares, which will soon be revealed.
  8. You're always going on about Graeme Bailey. Let it go, Kid Icarus, you're never going to meet him
  9. Diaby would be an incredible signing - but I'll believe it when I see it; I think the lad will end up at a club already at the top. To even be in the conversation though - fucking hell.
  10. Would it be that difficult to distribute the funds to charities pro rata based upon the % of votes from NUST or donors? I don't think it would have taken months. It is almost as if they lost interest once their hilarious idea that Ashley would sell them a 1% stake went down the pan.
  11. Always seem an act of cruelty that 'rhotacism' starts with an 'R'. Like 'dyslexic' not being phonetic or 'stutterer' having so many repeated letters.
  12. It's their obvious desperation to be 'in' with the club which makes it all such a complete joke. The Mag and TF spent the late '90s (correctly) taking the piss out of Kevin Miles and INUSA; but at least the apparent purpose of that was actual independence from the club. NUST appears to be Tory Boy Alex wanting to sit with the directors and tell them how ticket prices should be higher.
  13. I read an article many, many moons ago in either FourFourTwo or Total Football (yeah, we’re talking late ‘90s) which argued for clubs manufacturing their own kits, as in the medium- to long-term they’d make a lot more money than they do from receiving a lumper and a minuscule cut per shirt. Couldn’t be any worse than Castore tbf
  14. It would be an easy win for the club to appoint KK as club president or club ambassador - they may already have offered of course.
  15. Nee-one tell burgervan the mackems’ second division games start in July …
  16. ‘Erm. Ok. ‘ *predicted reaction of Newcastle fan to finding out that the shirt in question belongs to a Yemeni club*
  17. I agree entirely with everything you’ve written except the use of [nope]
  18. If you gaze into the cabbage, the cabbage gazes also into you
  19. I’d call them ‘embarrassing’, but a sense of embarrassment to me would suggest a personal relationship with them making me feel ashamed or humiliated, whereas I feel neither about the dopey fuckers
  20. I think he meant rocket surgery
  21. That’s the modesty which makes them as popular as they are in the lower leagues. At least that’s why they tell me
  22. FTFY Michael Dell wasn’t the buyer, nor was Dell the company. It was a couple of blokes who used to work with him who were venture capitalists.
  23. Wraith has always been a massive weapon. From his shite ‘Number 9’ fanzine, his Tory politics, his desperate desire to knock about with gangsters and hooligans (and have some of that sense of ‘danger’ rub off on him), to his social media ITK ‘I helped sell the club to PIF’ chest-puffing horseshit. It’s all a grift to that cunt. He’s the man the Mackems all want us to be.
  24. They do represent a portion of the support though. It’s similar to when politicians say that neo Nazi groups don’t represent the country. They don’t the whole country - but they do represent some of it.
  25. I love the fact that the stupid twats like a story where they look for a Sunderland top behind the bar and can’t find one, but find a Newcastle one, and don’t even consider for a second why that might be. I think this is what the young’uns refer to as a ‘self-own’
