Consumerism, banking, financial services, the food and beverage industry are all as culpable as betting operations at harming the vulnerable in society. I’d argue gambling is an easy target. I agree the amount of advertising and it’s prominence across football needs reviewed but problem gambling rates remain fairly static. I’d argue the penetration of the internet and social media into every minute of our waking lives via smart phones is probably cooking up unforeseen problems bigger than just gambling for our kids.

Thsts all well and good but the game was on the 19th. I think this was reactive when the time to strike was before the game. Still fair play keep pushing mate.

The trust do need to be more vocal and make a stand. Not you @Gregbut you will know fairly or unfairly there are people who think that other members of the board are benefitting from restructuring ticket allocations they have less heart in a fight.

Yes we have whingers at home but generally our support is positive when it's needed. And some of the general trends aren't unique to Newcastle but are symptoms of the gentrification of the game and modern sensibilities imho. Whilst there were some great memories made in the 80s a lot of the matchday experience is best left there.
