I am not saying we created it but it was sang in the Gallowgate corner and scoreboard in the 80s - the full song starting "Joe Harvey went on holiday..." I would assume but I am not old enough (might ask me fatha) that it was sang in the 70s given it commemorates the fairs cup win. But I divvent kna tbf

not bring agist im early 40s myself but we’ve one of the highest average age of ST holder / match going fans. Regretsbly you become more of a moody / angry joyless cunt as you get older I’m finding - just to what degree you turn!
-
meant Tripps not Bruno.
-
judt seen - nothing in game explains it that I remember hopefully precautionary

Or fickle. 4 points from this and villa away is more than most or the bookies would have predicted. wilson snd Barnes back the latter with a goal. Older longy found his shooting boots. Bruno chipping in with a rare goal. Luton are physical and have enough to stay up. To come back from 2 goals down is pleasing. aye I’m a glass half full man but some of the miserable fkers have short memories or no memories :-/

Its more culturally similar to the UK than Spain too - and flight times are better (although the difference is negligible in the scheme of things).

A good board member gone and I say that as a member of NUST why’s at times been massively disappointed in (the rest of the board / leadership). All the best @Greg

Probably a Consett lad they don't like the Stanley lot
-
Aye but he'd pick Big Jow if it was a tag team fight

Keep gannin I’m nearly there …

The other factor is the other games where they've given large allocations (even Man Ure) have not attracted the demand for tickets. A game versus us is simply a bigger draw and a bigger game.

Is Adam from Wor Flags not an NO poster?

Probably go down well with some of our the younger fans - will they be able to do balloons and ket spoons in there?

Ok I’ll answer no I wouldn’t be happy with a 2 pint limit for similar reasons I am opposed to bubble trip conditions. They’re restrictions on freedom and I believe if these aren’t challenged then it becomes easier for law enforcement, the government (or whoever) to become increasingly authoritarian. I’m old school and see a day out as young hand in hand with following the lads (especially away). Travelled all over Europe and England (including numerous away matches at RP and the SOL) and probably seen more crap football than good but have had some great times with people who I’m glad are no long standing friends. I get football has changed and even in the 80s and 90s there were fans who’d get the official supporters coaches to away that would bus you straight in and out with a zero tolerance for alcohol onboard. But whilst I would never criticise this subset of fans choice I’d hope they’d equally respect mine. I’ve never been arrested at a game despite seeing plenty of bother over the years but have backed the lads albeit maybe in a more boisterous manner than most like these days. It will be interesting to see the arrangements if we ever okay them in a league game with a reduced allocation.

I’ve done the convoy before but most recent Derby’s just got the metro / train - prefer the latter tbh. Also the bubble trip I’d imagine is a massive fuck on for anyone who lives south of the river. as a libertarian I also don’t like how you cannot do what you want cos (sone) people (the minority) cannot be trusted - just doesnt sit right. In this case as @SteV suggests it was likely forced due to Nexus being unable to cater for the extra footfall

I have no problem with a small number - similarly I am an advocate for giving away a small number of home tickets to schools in ne4 area for nixxy. But she appears to have got incredibly lucky to attend the matches she has in such a short time. Nothing against her personally - its the system, the lack of transparency and apparent unfairness that's the issue.
-
Good lads! I'm in the middle of the Gallowgate but I think tis shows we just need more standing areas to get the whole ground going.
-
That was my first thought too if I’m honest. I’m sure she’s a canny lass but she attended her first game in 2023! I was at PSG but I was with people who travelled and watched in bars who have 60 loyalty points..
-
It’s definitely “we”. Remember it’s from a different era when pagga was unfortunately part and parcel of attending football. The greatest pity though is that we again don’t sing the whole song. The verses referencing Joe Harvey (the last manager to actually win a bloody cup, I’m not having the intertoto whatever UEFA say) and beating Spaniards by the score.

it’ll be a pub in Concord, Jarra or Hebburn - he says their side of room - they do this in bars over there where the regulars are 50/50. Be perfectly safe imho not like taking a bairn to watch it in Butlers when you’re a mackem

84 mins before a touch in our box mackem bastards

We’ve both played in hone shirts more often than not. But I agree it seemed harder to distinguish than when I was younger. But it didn’t seem to affect us so let’s keep it as it is
