  1. That’s a bit of a jump - I’m guessing Ryan is pointing out that they’re unlikely to have got their tickets through loyalty points and have prob paid over the odds on resale sites. But he might be a massive racist for all I know tbf
  2. no they were nufc / wolves - on sale outside the away end on the walk down from the Asda
  3. It was mate. Cracking atmosphere down on the bus and back but match was strange. Seeing things like half and half scarves suggests day trippers / interlopers. There were a lot of people who didn’t fit in. I’ve made my feelings known on the current ticketing arrangements but we’ve pissed off and lost a lot of our regular younger travellers but I think there’s a desire to minimise the Radge element from sone quarters which is obviously going to be detrimental to a boisterous away end.

And the organisation who said they’d campaign for loyalty points turned their back on them - the very people they’re supposed to represent
  6. it’s state dependent. 7 states have legal online gambling. And most of these are only in last year or so. They’re predominately liberal and democrat states like New Jersey. Gambling transactions are processed on merchant category code 7995 and approval rates are low even in legal states (they’ll be zero elsewhere) due to US acquiring banks still having a low risk appetite towards remote gaming. in progressive states it’ll change as there’s tax to be made but in the guns, god and guts regions they’ll never embrace it.
  7. Is it not because they’re signing people on ridiculously long deals so the cost is spread out? It’s a strategy that will only work if they’re successful in the short term as it’s unsustainable.
  8. Aye but the US general aversion to online gambling is nothing to do with any social responsibility but a sop to the Presidential kingmaker Sheldon Alderson.
  9. Bars open on collingwood street till 3am - then you have powerhouse and the genting / aspers casino open until 4am. The Grosvenor is actually open 24 hours. Then first train is 5.42 am - no hotel needed Just some stamina on the drink...

He’s alreet Pete - see him and his family quite often in the Northumbrian Piper in Red House Farm. I’d imagine any attendees will be there to see Eddie though rather than get his signature ?

Agree with KK being recognised above SBR. But what about Joe Harvey? ( In all relationships there is a thin line between love and hate - but lot if people forget Sir Bobby having a go at the fans for walking out on his team and many fans forget they were voting with their feet as he’d lost the dressing room.)
  14. You’ve hoyed some of your own slant in there and put it in quotation marks tbf. Gambling is as old as we are best to regulate and tax imho. Consumerism, banking, financial services, the food and beverage industry are all as culpable as betting operations at harming the vulnerable in society. I’d argue gambling is an easy target. I agree the amount of advertising and it’s prominence across football needs reviewed but problem gambling rates remain fairly static. I’d argue the penetration of the internet and social media into every minute of our waking lives via smart phones is probably cooking up unforeseen problems bigger than just gambling for our kids.
  15. provides jobs, tax revenue (Denise Coates is the uks largest tax payer and Bet365 have done more for employment and the community in stoke than any government of whatever hue). also lots of people enjoy it as a legitimate leisure pursuit. I’ll confess to having skin in the game but prohibition is never the answer imho
  16. Similar set up to UK in a local licensing structure. What Italy has that isn’t as prevalent there is a deeply entrenched at institutional level organised crime control over unlicensed supply of remote gambling. https://www.occrp.org/en/daily/13985-italian-mafia-bets-on-illegal-online-gambling#:~:text=At its heart is the, basing its servers in Malta. https://www.nysportsday.com/2022/09/16/offshore-gambling-site-linked-to-mafia/ Even the country’s equivalent of Ladbrokes (SKS365 / Planet Win) was once unlicensed due to mafia connections within its directors and shareholders. It’s since changed ownership and has the correct regulator approvals.
  17. omertà /ˌəʊmɛːˈtɑː/ noun (among the Mafia) a code of silence about criminal activity and a refusal to give evidence to the police. "loyal to the oath of omertà" Posted in good faith assuming I am not being whooshed here!!!!!

I’ve heard people are still giving tickets to non named people under the proviso that if ticket is rejected at the gate they just leave. Not sure what the club could do in this instance as in theory there’s multiple reasons why you might not go in

Southern games have generally had poorer atmospheres in my experience than games in Yorkshire / North West going back 20+ years. Not a new thing

Dangernonce is either a 40 year old virgin who loves the hoolie porn or he’s a great WUM winding the mackems up. I think the jury’s out

The only video I’ve seen is of the mackems running away. But I’m sure dangernonce on RTG will say the taverners done them or the milky bar kid and his pals had them on their toes.
