  1. Especially for a coach, you don't lose that much
  2. All their big clubs have Portuguese managers, it was inevitable

    Harvey Barnes

It's between us and Al Ahli
  4. Now that they've won the UCL, they are worthy enough to be represented by Croats.
  5. Not really, unless you consider Alex Telles top class
  6. ASM Firmino Mahrez I know who I'm watching next year
  7. I just think it's unlucky that we have to sell him this summer, because as our management probably correctly decided that his value is only gonna drop the longer he stays with us. He would fit perfectly in some of the top Serie A clubs, like Juve, Napoli and Milan, but Juve can't even buy a capriciosa from a local pizzeria right now, and Napoli and Milan have Leao and Kvaradona. He doesn't fit Inter, and every club below that can not afford his price. Otherwise I think we could sell him there for £30m atleast.
  8. I didn't say he is world class period, I said at the things he does best he is world class. Which if utilized by team that fits his style perfectly (which is not that few, in most Serie A top clubs he would be dominant) would appear as world class.
  9. If your only definition of contribution is goals/assists then yes, your comment makes sense. Reminds me of all Croatian fans shitting on Modrić for 10+ years because he doesn't score enough.
  10. Because he is absolutely world class at what he does. It may not suit us and our style of play, which is fine, but people here and in the football media acting like he brings no objective value is ludicrous to me.
  11. I am beginning to think that ASM is the single most disrespected player in world football.

    Harvey Barnes

As long as they are on the bench, it's fine
  13. 3am? I didnt know Saudi Arabia is in the middle of the Pacific
  14. Well, if our owners are as capable as everyone thinks (and I think they are, everyone was clowning their overpriced fees for LIV Golf and they ended up basically owning the whole sport), then I wouldn't put it past them to make the Saudi Pro League work.
  15. Yep, there is a big difference between being the Saudi Man City, and being Saudi RB Salzburg to their Saudi Pro League RB Leipzig.
  16. I know people will call this panicky, but hear me out. It does sound worrying if they are trying to lowball us. Now of course, it could all be just media nonsense and the fee could have been already agreed and this is all for show. But if we really do end up selling him for something like £25m, it means we could be more in danger of Saudis than anyone. First of all, you will say that they are just doing what any club should do in trying to get as low a price possible. But we are both owned by PIF so they don't lose any money transfering from one of their property to another, no matter the transfer fee. Their goal should be, and there is no logical reason for any other, to get us as big of a transfer fee without it being suspicious. Because their clubs aren't restricted by FFP and we are. Again, this could all be media nonsense and they are doing exactly that. But if it ends up being a really low fee, it could mean that all their priority is getting as many players possible to the Saudi League and any other goal is miniscule by comparison. What is to stop them from offering Bruno G. £50m a season to come to Saudi Arabia and us selling him for £50m? He would probably say no, but we are the only club in the world where it is only player's wishes, we have no power to say no as a club. Just to make it clear, I don't think this is true, because it wouldn't make sense to lower the value of your property (us as a club), but a really low fee for ASM could be a very bad sign.
  17. Would definitely rather have Tonali than either of those two. And it's not particularly close.
  18. Al Rumayyan playing hardball on Al Rumayyan
  19. Ofcourse, as I said before, it would be a dumb thing to do. But the situation isn't that we are capped for FFP and can't sign Barnes. If we thought he would be useful to us, it would be even better to sell him next year.
  20. We can sign 2 £100m players this summer before hitting the FFP limit. If we sell him, it's not for FFP, but because we think his value will only drop, which I agree with. I would just hope we do a good job with getting a decent price for him.
  21. Sure, but would be pretty telling where we stand in the Saudi pecking order.
