Obviously strawberry corner looks to be area of choice but wouldnt it of been worth sticking safe standing from end of family enclosure all around into away section. That way if we play a team who brings 1.5k we then have a large standing area that can also cater for member sales etc.

One thing that really annoys me is that because most english grounds have shite atmosphere it doesnt matter. I support Newcastle United and want the best match day experience for me and our team. Simply saying everywhere is crap and not being arsed to change is shite. Look at West Brom away in FA cup just before covid. No ones telling me that them 5k fans behind gallowgate or leazes won't get the crowd going. I honestly dont give a fuck about other clubs being shite or the DJ is shite etc etc. It wont improve as large majority are moany pricks. The club need to move 5k to other areas of stadium.. this is not YOUR seat, its the clubs.

Same as you mate been to every ground in prem. Probably best atmosphere over last couple of years was actually Wolves. They have safe standing one end and lads stood other end so bounce off each other and it's small ground so works. We would need 4k in Leazes corner and 4k in Gallowgate, it is possible only if club are willing to have balls and move grounds

You see other clubs do it now, it helps get younger crowd through as well and get them more educated Thats annoying thing about the survey it didnt reach out tp everyone. All them 16 year olds in family closure etc get them together etc.

In a way shame we sell out early rounds of cups as could of asked as many lads who wanted to stand to get together amd see what atmosphere could be like

Fucking hell reading twitter comments we have somd of the most selfish pricks of a fanbase in the country. "Whats point if it doesnt increase capacity" "Why not ask fans who will have to move and not people who want to stand" These aren't supporters man..the day we win something (hopefully) who gives a fuck where your season ticket is. Well done for pushing it mate, I just wish the club asked every fan and went from there, honestly think 6k in one big area or strawberry and Leazes corners would of been cracking. Yep maybe it's time to look at a fan group so to speak to actually push this as well.

Also to add, we presuming everyone happy where they sit but i bet theres people in leazes who would of happily moved and that is annoying thing the club shouldnt just presume it only is aimed at strawberry corner

Well summarised, most important point is the club need to get idea of who wants to stand. If its 8k build 8k. I honestly can't abide some of our fans. They spout on about love for club blah blah blah...yet can't move seats to accomadate like minded fans to get behind the team. How can Chelsea, Liverpool, Wolves, Spurs, Arsenal, Leeds all move fans to help improve atmosphere yet the boring fuckers at St James moan amd groan....fucking pathetic.

One positive that might come from it is when the ground is expanded they may think they have trialled it already. The club should just force seat moves, are fans going to pack in given the demand? Of course not. Been great if we got 8 like minded fans, 4k in oppisite corners bouncing off each other

The trouble for me is not moving seats... no point having any lads or lasses in safe standing who dont want to back time for 90 mins. Surely need to move around to get people together. Why not got 3k in strawberry corner and 3k in leazes corner

Good point, i remember going to villa in Ashley area and being fair few thousand empty seats amongst other grounds yet they have a waiting list now I beleive.

Think most obvious point is we ballot for who wants to stand there, no point just adding seats to areas where people cba. Also which ever area has biggest capacity to hold safe standing.

@TheGuv leazes for me less ST holders means less agro and more buy in for club. Even if its somewhere that isnt priority still a start. I think more fans who stand there than anything. 3k of lads wanting to be heard will improve st james
