Has anyone got the clip of the Liverpool bench laughing after the post injury time win? -

They seem to think they have so thats what matters most. We were told by outsiders from years that we should be happy with Ashley but knew better. From the outside league wise compared to two seasons ago they have lost more, GD is worse they may end up on less points and have been smashed a few times. Liverpool smashed them, I don't recall us beating them so convincing for a good few years. They have had several other really dodgy results. Good is all relative. Compared to last year it looks good. Compared to two years ago it looks the same but "feels" better. Next year if they dont get top 4 it should be seen as complete failure if they get the level of players they're talking about (Kane, Rice etc). We're still miles away from them in terms of what we can spend on wages. Success next year for us is getting any form of Europe again and a decent run in a cup, winning the champions league would be a bonus mind. -
"Apart from Mr Levy club" - brutal ?

They've returned to where they were the season before that under Ole. But significantly worse GD and losing 3 games more: This year: 20/21 -
He seems to do better when he’s on the pitch

I watched the last 15 minutes again this morning and it was still stressful. -

Agreed. I'm feeling so excited for next season as we have achieved what we deserved. Luck if anything has been against us (thinks like hitting the woodwork stats). Var has stollen points from us. When we've drawn we've generally deserved to win (with the exception of Arsenal and Brighton away). When we've won they have not been lucky wins. When we've lost we've still played well and been unlucky at times. And as you say we have had our injuries (Bruno, Wilson, Miggy, Isak, Longstaff, ASM, Willock). When Pardew gave us our last European win it was comical how lucky we were. -

This is what I've been saying all along. People talk about fair market value being measured vs other teams. I just dont see how that could stand up in court. There is only one Newcastle. If 10 Saudi companies out bid each other to be on our shirt any number can be argued to be fair market value. They can just claim that with PIF owning us there is a prestige to be the Saudi company with the name on us.

It's still sinking in that we actually did it. I'm so used to something going wrong to get it over the line feels so good. The extra cash, advertising money, transfer advantage of being in it, looking forward to the draw and then actually playing in it again after the Ashley years feels unreal. -
Every replay of the Leicester chance turns my stomach. So close. Pope did so well to direct it to a Newcastle player assuming that was deliberate!
-
It wasn't on last day this time but in the last 7 days: - sunderland lost to Luton - stay in championship - boro lost to cov - stay in championship - we beat Brighton - we draw with Leicester and qualify for Champions league

Elliot Anderson (now playing for Nottingham Forest)

Yeah a little disappointing. But that just from his own cameos when he just had 5 mins. -
It was a Liverpool telling off. A Newcastle lucky not red.
-
Even if it was red I don’t think it would have changed the game much.

Fast.
