It's a difficult task for Howe to figure out how to solve this situation. We made it out of a bad run last season and went on a brilliant winning streak. Lets hope we can do that again. Will be interesting to see what he does next.

Gotta be loyal towards Targett

It's like last season during our bad run when Wilson was starting every game doing nothing while Isak was waiting on the bench. Must have been frustrating for Isak.
-
I don't get this loyalty to the starters thing. It just means no loyalty towards the other options.

I can't remember Joelinton doing anything that stands out this season.

March > Almiron Estupiñan >>>>> Targett Mitoma > Gordon (not hating on Gordon, Mitoma currently just a little bit better imo) Dunk > Burn (sorry Burn)

Chelsea firing on all cylinders this season

https://www.thefa.com/football-rules-governance/lawsandrules/laws/football-11-11/law-11---offside So the logic is that he didn't make a deliberate attempt at trying to play the ball, but rather tried to avoid the ball? And the keepers vision was not really obstructed?

Did they change the offside rules? They must have..

Archer with more goals than Watkins this season.

The saving grace for Everton could very well be the level of these newly promoted clubs. Burnley can probably do something, but Luton and Sheffield United are looking quite weak so far. Hopefully this is a jinx and Sheffield United turn the game around.

I really miss Bruno going forward more. He was incredible in the first 3 months of starting for us, scoring 5 goals.
-
The ball literally came directly from the corner. He had seconds to avoid putting his arm there. Unbelievable.

Apparrently because McTominay rejected them last minute.

PSG is just a magnet for players with a bad attitude

It's most unfortunate for PSG and Dortmund. It was not really unlikely for us to face 2 good teams, but we got the best team from Pot 3. Meanwhile Dortmund and PSG has to face 3 great teams instead of just 1, drawing the best team from both pot 3 and 4. Anything can happen in this group. -
Gordon or Botman for me

Pep has stated earlier that if any player wants to leave, they can just tell him and the club will try to sort it out. He doesn't want to have any players who doesn't want to be there 100%. Why did Liverpool let Mane go? Why did Arsenal let Xhaka go?

But loaning Lingard was priced at £15m

If it wasn't for Almirons purple patch last year, and we had the 2023 Almiron during that patch, we would definetly not have made top 4. Unfortunately it's probably unlikely that he will have that patch this season, but you never know. So basically we can't rely on that happening again, we need other players to step up this time around.

I think in situations like these, positioning relative to other defenders (and the goal) + chances of being able to control the ball is much more important to consider than what the guy who commited the foul could've done instead.. The opportunities of the player who commited the foul probably doesn't even count, we already know that he ended up making the error of commiting the foul instead of following Isak to pressure him.

With ASM we would never lose, any game that we lose would be perfect for ASM and we would win them with him in the team. We saw that last season when he scored 1 goal.
