  1. This looks like us playing a mid table Championship side in the cup. Bad news for us.
  2. City reserves - £600 mill 1-0 Is Steve Bruce dressed up as Lampard?
  3. Almost lost to Wolves. I know they are home, but Bournemouth want to finish the season as high as possible. People were saying that Leeds would beat West Ham today. It seems like Arsenal is the only team that completely rolls over when having nothing to play for.
  4. It's not like the goal difference wasn't important for Liverpool against Leicester. Leicester looked like they had already gone down, yet Liverpool won by 3.
  5. Oh really? I preferred relying on Southampton, but you're right! It's better if we do it ourselves, my bad!
  6. Yes, I've been saying this aswell. Liverpool didn't win by more than 3 goals against Leicester, and they looked really bad defensively. Southampton have just lost by more than 3 goals just once this season (4-0 away to Man City), and they wouldn't want to be humiliated in their last home game of the season. Liverpool are not as good away from home either. I don't think it will be the trashing that people expect. Maybe 3-0, but probably not 5 or more in my opinion. Edit: Just as I was saying this, 2-0 now.
  7. I feel like Thomas Frank is not mentioned enough. Brentford has the lowest wage bill and transfer spend in the league. Even Bournemouth are spending more. It's unlikely, but they can still make Europe with 1 game to go!
  8. Which is funny because the last 5 seasons all of them have spent more than Man City (net).. In fact 9 clubs have spent more in the PL. They generate a lot from selling players. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/fuenfjahresvergleich/wettbewerb/GB1
  9. And 4 of them was in the last 2 games after sealing the trophy!
  10. But why Southampton? Because their season could've looked different if Everton was in trouble? Southampton are miles away from staying up..
  11. I think Gakpo took it with his hand though, didn't he? Feels like Liverpool will score very soon..
  12. Unfortunate that Watkins lacks confidence infront of goal lately.
  13. Nah lets get top 3. Leeds can overtake Everton for us!
  14. Apparently clear professional fouls aren't yellow anymore.
  15. Why did Watkins take it man.. He has 4 goals in 9 pens, and is out of scoring form.
  16. It would be funny if Brentford somehow manages to get into Europe with Marco Silva nominated for manager of the season over him. Brentford has the lowest net spent over 5 years and the lowest wage bill in the league.
  17. I'm from Norway, everyone calls Manchester United "United" here because a large majority supports either Liverpool or Manchester United. Sorry, bad habit. Need to get used to calling them Manchester United.
  18. We say this almost every season, don't we? What if for example Arsenal and Manchester United drop down again. I don't expect every "big 6" team to perform well every season. Who expected Chelsea and Liverpool to drop down this season? Unexpected things happens. Last season we could've been saying "but next season Arsenal and Man United will get stronger", which they did, but yet we managed top 4. I do think that top 4 will be more difficult because we will play in Europe aswell though, I agree on that part.
  19. He's saying that "Liverpool and Chelsea will wake up" as an argument for next season being so much harder to get top 4. They might wake up, but then some other teams might go to sleep aswell. Did Simon Jordan think before the season that Liverpool and Chelsea would perform like they have this season? Next year it might be one or two of the other "big 6" performing like that. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United have all had their unexpected downfalls the last 10 years. Every season the argument is made that "but next season every team will perform"! The last 5 years the average requirement for top 4 has been 68 points, this season it might be 71 points! 71 points for 5th place would be the highest in 6 years. This season might actually prove to be more difficult to make top 4 than usual, contrary to the claims that it has been easier due to certain teams underperforming.
  20. I think both will start, but crazily enough I would actually rather have Tripps miss the game than Joelinton. Atleast we have right backs to step in, even if they are not great ones. Having to play players out of position in the midfield is even more scary to me.
  21. Opponents are feeling sorry for our corners. Also we need to learn from Undav! I hope Botman is studying that header!
  22. 1 goal and 1 assist in the 4-4 game against Arsenal. Also had a goal disallowed that should've stood. He was in pretty good form at the time. I think he scored more hat tricks than just that one.
  23. I kinda hope that Leeds and Everton wins still. I think it would be pretty demoralizing for Leicester.
  24. I agree that Willock has some mad potensial! His finishing has been pretty poor this season, but I'm sure he will improve on that. I think Joelinton will be an important player on the left in the next season aswell, definetly not the most urgent position to make a change. His work rate is enourmous, and he has improved a lot offensively and technically aswell. Liverpool has been linked him, but I don't think that he will leave. He's only 26, so he could also improve even more. We might see him feature for Brazil in the future, who knows. I do agree on the names that you mentioned in the last sentence, although Longstaff has been offering very good work rate too which has helped us a lot this season. Not the most technical of midfielders however. https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/liverpool-told-newcastle-hero-joelinton-26826670 https://www.sambafoot.com/news/former-liverpool-striker-sees-joelinton-as-a-key-player-for-newcastle-in-the-next-champions-league
