You guys should of been 2-0 up after 25 mins, you were completely dominating the game, then we got a lucky break for the equaliser, it just hit Savinho and went in, he didn’t know much about the goal, 2nd half you was unlucky, tiredness crept in and we made several changes from Wednesday night, and we scored a couple of goals, we were nothing to write home about, Marmoush scored a worldie for the 3rd and that was it, that’s football I’m afraid, you can dominate any game but still lose.

I was at the game on Saturday, it wasn’t anything like Peps boring Barcelona performances with endless passing and keeping hold of the ball, I don’t know what you were watching but your not describing this game, and you say it’s not always easy to execute playing on the counter and having everyone behind the ball, but Eddie Howe played like this in his semi final win at Highbury recently, so he’s already done it in a big away game. I don’t even think City played well in the game, it was just the tactics of Newcastle we’re so poor, imho.

Agree with a lot of this, especially that you were caught in two minds about whether to press or not, but playing on the counter and that first goal doesn’t happen, there would of been 2 maybe 3 defenders there defending that long punt down field from Edderson.

He would start for City ahead of Gundogan that’s for sure especially this season, in seasons past no he wouldn’t get into our starting 11.

Eddie Howe set his team up wrong imo, most teams that cause us problems get everyone behind the ball and hit us on the break, with Gordon and Isak in your side this would of been quite easy to execute, instead it looked to me like he went toe to toe with City and your players we’re missing tackles and allowing City space to do whatever they want, a suicidal approach really. But I also give City credit as well, Newcastle are flying so it wasn’t an easy game. (btw we’re all behind you in the cup final)
