Isak has worn 14 at 3 clubs, not sure he is desperate for the 9 shirt. He’s iconic enough to wear it, but no reason he can’t make 14 as big for us as Shearer made the 9.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

I think with any combination of Isak/Osula, Gordon/Barnes, Elanga/Murphy and Willock/Sandro/Joe making runs into the box we’ve got the players who can make the most of a big target man. They can all score plenty of goals, so I’m not so worried about DCL getting 20 a season. He gives us a different outlet for play which we looked like we needed at times last season. Plus, he’s a free agent - so I would never say no as long as we don’t go for massive wages. -
Sean Longstaff (now playing for Leeds United)

It could be. Say Tripps or Tino get an injury, and whoever is left ends up playing in four competitions. I still have PTSD from our last European adventure and just how fucked we looked playing that same team every week for November/December. All I’m saying is we should really think about keeping squad depth high on the agenda - we know that’s what’s cost us over the last few seasons. -

Is running the team into the ground again because we don’t have the squad depth worth it? -

Selling him now feels like a bad idea. As someone else pointed out, he’s a home grown, so unless we replace him with someone from the academy who is good enough to be in the squad then all we do is make our European team smaller. Yes, it helps PSR, but unless we plan to replace Longy with Anderson then it’s not worth it. Edit: forgot to add, selling Willock makes more sense from a registration point of view. Replace him with a youngster who can in turn replace Longy next season. -
Absolutely beautiful.

Completely agree. if we want to be the next Manure and start sacking managers every six-twelve months, then fine. if we want to actually build the club up to a competitive and successful outfit, Eddie is the man.

Brummie Mackems, always the victims and their players can do nothing wrong.

If they play like they did last time out for the next hour, it’ll end about 16-2, with Dyche being sacked before he leaves the dugout… Fingers crossed!

2 shots, 2 on target, 2 goals. Villa look like right mugs at the moment, which in fucking loving!! Conflicted though, I want Villa to lose as I still see them as contenders for Europe, but I also really want this to be the season Everton finally fuck off down where they belong with their new stadium.

Think someone got mixed up and let one of the mascots on. Better check to see if the real Gomes is trapped in the bogs.

I think fully fit Bruno and Tonali are undroppable. Big Joe and Little Joe then rotate for the third slot as needed. If we are at home and/or overwhelming an opponent it’s Little Joe for the pace and driving runs. If we expect more of a battle in midfield, Big Joe starts and helps break up play and control the midfield. In my opinion they’re both equally good players, they just offer different things.

Expect someone to start looking into where he was playing for the last ten months. Looked right at home straight away, massive boost to our midfield. Missed this handsome bastard so much!

What do we reckon then, City or Liverpool away in the draw?
