  1. I thought he was excellent today. We are noticeably more balanced and our right side looked more dangerous than it did all season 2nd half with him and Tonali comfortable on the ball. Rare part of the pitch where we have 2 quality players competing for one spot currently.

FWIW mate is a palace season ticket holder and said scoreline on the weekend would have been much worse without him. Left exposed and made plenty of good defensive contributions not on the highlights. Having Schar back yesterday highlights how important progressive centre backs are to us. I reckon we will be back in for him.
  3. He shoots He scores goals that hide his flaws. Harvey Barnes Harvey Barnes Just kidding of course. Very important player and seems up for it this season.
  4. People have lost their minds. We don’t want to be Man City and become soulless immediately. We were devoid of direction recently, not having an adequate right winger is ok. Take a breath. Enjoy the ride.
  5. Maybe not but he has a personality which is a relief in modern football. Always a chance that being at Madrid makes him unbearable but right now I like that he has something about him. Even if it borders on the arrogance
  6. Just letting everyone spend whatever they want doesn’t end well either. The world is becoming more unequal, football would too. As nice is it has been for Man City to deny classically dislikable teams that would get old soon too. This system is flawed because it is already biased to bigger teams without letting others close the gap. The do nothing system is flawed because it rewards who has the richest owners rather than anything else. I’m increasingly moving towards wanting a spending cap that isn’t dictated by revenue, losses etc. but is purely an absolute limit based on spend over the last x number of years. Maximise number of transfers allowed, don’t reward pure profit academy sales. Allow other teams to catch up and reward savvy transfers, good management and importantly great support. A pipe dream and not thought through but anything to stop the accountants or Chelsea winning.
  7. Sure. But this is the game we have to play now. Also if it means we keep Bruno and Isak then so be it. Perfect world we keep everyone but let’s trade sensibly if we are forced to. These are much better decisions to have to be making then hoping we can get Rossi on loan.
  8. They look scared. Which is the opposite of what they should given they are a largely a team of winners. That has come down either to tactics or man management. Either way, not encouraging..
  9. It’s a weird situation to come back in a game you think you had to win, still feel relieved and also insanely pissed off. I assume the Germans have a word for this. If not they should. Personally I think I convince myself enough it’s entertainment cause despite the fallacies it’s a gusty comeback and ultimately we love it. The roar for the 4th. Woof.
  10. Should have been on the winning side. Outrageously good display whilst still keeping his head. Last few weeks he’s been world class
  11. I’ve been following a good 20 years and rarely seen such a heroic performance. Robbed by a rule which will be changed by next year. Rarely been so proud
  12. It’s the £70 that gets me. Would have walked away for £50 but didn’t need to hit triple figures.
