    Tino Livramento

He's doing as Isak isn't he. I'm too long in the tooth to get attached to players or managers and I'm sure he and Tonali (or Bruno) is away this summer, but at least put the effort it before you leave. Alternatively, if he's not fit then dont bloody play him.
  2. I once presented my misses with a list of our new car. Options were Ferrari 812, Porsche 911 GT3 RS and Lamboughi Avantador. She bought a Nissan Leaf. Who is to blame me or her.
  3. If the owners genuinely really want to be considered in the conversation for winning the CL and PL in 2030 then, sad as it is to say it, Howe will be sacked in the coming weeks. This, moreso than any stadium announcement will tell us what the future holds. I mean, Man City didn't think twice about sacking Pellagrini(?) once he won the league and Pep was available.
  4. I'm not sure if you saw the game but we lost 7-2 at Barcelona. It it wasn't a great performance, it was fucking embarrassing. And yes, I've been to every home game this season and its obvious the players are only turning out for certain games. As I said before, to cure that we either replace the manger (easy option) or replace 8-10 players this summer (not easy) especially if the manager is resistant to wholesale changes. Howe has been brilliant and taken us up two or three levels, but (and its a massive fucking BUT) if we want to reach the next level we probably need a change. Its not dirty to say that and if Kloop, for example, wanted the job I'd give it to him. Nothing lasts forever and about 90% of the fans I've spoken to since FT in the pubs and toilets(!) who went to the match are furious and wanting a change. I had an awful feeling the home crowd might turn today after a defeat, and in my experience the majority did.
  5. I'm not necessarily saying Howe out (but I'm open minded) but for those who are still 100% behind Howe tonight, did you not see the lack of fight in the players today? In the stadium at 1150 we were all up for it, the atmosphere was brilliant. Second half the application from the players was fucking shocking. They were not playing for him or the fans or the shirt. Something is definitely off, it stands out a mile. I think the players have stopped responding to Howe and/or his coaching staff. Something needs to change this summer. The mackems game is not a barometer of our season but its a check on the attitude of the players and the management. We failed big time, twice.
  6. Possibly, but history suggests that Howe does not like wholesale changes and sticks to his favourites. Rightly or wrongly I get the impression he likes to keep a settled squad and we hold onto players too long. Almiron, Wilson, Pope, Murphy Burn, etc. Remember when we got promoted under KK and he sold our top scorer Kelly who got 28 goals. That's the type of brutal management I want**. **. I'm a heartless fucker when it comes to my team and have no emotions when it comes to players or managers. Howe was the right person at the right time but if he needs to go, he needs to go 😀
  7. I guess we have two options this May. 1. Stick with Howe. Then allow him to assemble a squaud in his (and Wilson's?) mould. This needs to have severe surgery and get rid of likes of Pope, Burn, Trippier, Willock, Murphy, etc etc. And those players that want to leave, Tino, Tonali, Gordon, etc. 2. Replace Howe with a new manager. Let him use the current players and get a tune out of them with new ideas, ways or training, etc. Its easier to do option 2 and it's difficult to trade players nobody else wants.
  8. I'm not having a good at you mate, but this comment really pisses me off. We are not the CEO or DOF at nufc paid £1m pa, so we dont need to answer that question. They set the strategy and succession planning and make those decisions about a new manger. Should Villa, for example, have stuck with Gerrard because their fans on a forum could not suggest a better replacement.
  9. Yes, Ashworth and Mitchell were both top level for their roles. The former made some great signings before he jumped ship, which was a sliding doors moment for us. The latter said some home truths which didn't go do well.......and following that we spent £180m on Wissa, Elanga and Woltemade. Guess who's laughing now 🤨

He's away. His body language and performances tell us that. I'm OK with it. Players come and go, let's get a maximum fee. Two years left on his contract and he won't discuss a new one, so sell. Ask for £75+m.
  11. Not read this thread for a few days, but it does fell like we have reached a junction. We either sack Howe (which most around me in stadium wanted) or we stick with him and allow him to trade. I'm 50/50 in my pissed state on the metro! Last summers transfer dealings were a fucking disaster. £180m on Elanga Wissa and Woltemade have crucified us. If he stays on he needs to be brutal and sell Burn, Trippier, Willock, Woltemade, Murphy, Tino (he's already gone), Pope, etc. He cannot stay and retiain most of those players. Today was a monumental moment in his management as for the first time the band turned.
  12. 3-0 win. They cannot beat us its impossible, only we can beat ourselves and today we won't press the self destruct button.

Fucking hell! K and 20/20 in the Pig & Whistle and Yell, those were the days.
  15. We'll finish 7th and qualify for the Europa League. Win that, then be back in the CL before you know it.

From memory Sinners was the best as at was full nudeness. The others were woke top less only!
  17. Spoons in 9am on Sunday's with food or 10am without. But former might be pushed back to 10am for the derby. Hope not!

Fucking hell, I was in Sinners before the 5-1 Halloween game. What a day from start to finish 😁
  19. Willock is the obvious choice. But we'll have about 75% possession against a very low block with 11 behind the ball. So for this particular game Wolt might be the better choice for breaking down that defence and playing those through balls in the absence of Bruno.
  20. The perfect next game for us following last night's disaster. They've scored once in open play in the last 8 games so we should approach it with no fear. They'll play that awful no possession low block so we'll have to navigate that. I'd play Tino for Trippier and controversially Botman for Burn. Same defence as against Chelsea plus its our strongest back four. Willock for Tonali as well, or maybe a Howe curveball and Woltemade for Tonali as he's more likely to unlock a low block. Good to hear Howe talking up the importance of this game. I'm not totally convinced he got it before the last derby.

I've said this before in this thread but its worth repeating. To PIF we are an investment with an element of sports washing. Spending £1.5bn on a capital project in the poorest region in England may not meet the investment threshold or risk/reward metrics for PIF. They'll have loads of different investments all competing from a limited fund or pool of money. They may have other better opportunities to invest in. Plus we now have the ME conflict and PSR/SCR which is here to stay. Therefore, tarting up SJP may make sense from their perspective.
  22. We finished our CL campaign with P12, W6, D3, L3 and scored a fuck load of goals with a small CL squad and having suffered a very poor summer transfer window which weakened our starting 11 and no reinforcements in January. Not bad for a Pot 4 seeded team. Well done Howe and the players 👏
  23. After this weekend we have a 3 week break. We need one last push this Sunday from Howe and the players. No feeling sorry for ourselves and get into them with intensity from the off. Its pleasing to hear Howe talking about the importance and magnitude of the derby. From memory he didn't seem to fully get this before the last one.
  24. Head says 3-1 or 4-1 defeat. Their home record and goal scoring ability is exceptional. Heart says win on pens.
