In the Athletic article it says our new owners converted the MA loan nto equity. Bournemouth didn't do that they took the loan w/off credit into the P&L
-
Once again it shows how good our scouting team is. We do miss a few gems to others like Brighton, Bournemouth and so on. But we rarely seem to make bad signings.
-
And once they sell their woman's team to themselves for £100m+ they'll be able to invest in it further.
-
I'm not going. I was there on Sunday and nothing will top that.
-
Brilliant atmosphere in the stadium. Crowd was in full voice from about 3pm on the concourse in the top bowl. Continued throughout the game. We made it like a home game and the players knew it.
-
Based on how it worked last time it will be very difficult to sneak into the Green Man without a ticket.
-
And the opposite to the opening question is. Why do people with no ticket watch the game at home by themselves. Why not go to the pub to see mates and watch it together in an atmosphere with fellow toon fans.
-
Totally agree. I now celebrate a goal like I celebrate a penalty. It's 90% there but you know there's a good chance it won't count. The Schar goal against Brighton last week being an example FFS 😫

No complaints from me on the rise. The lad next to me pays something like £895? for his this season. I was expecting it to be close to £1000 next season
-
Yes, well 14 years I think it is. It's the East Stand. It's all category 1.
-
About £560 to £940. Quite a jump!

It's not just the signings. It's the selling of players at the right time. Those funds can bring in more adventurous players in the £5m-£15m bracket from the lower divisions or abroad. We didn't sell Miggy or Wilson or Trippier at the right time. That's passed now. But we can't replicate that going forward. This summer is the peak time to sell Longstaff, Murphy, Pope, Barnes and maybe even Bruno. Willock wont increase in value going forward I suspect. So its this summer for him. The whole team looks stale. We need a big turnover of players. KK was brilliant at selling at the right time, Howe needs to do the same.

I'd love to know the cost of each of those 16 players Brighton had on the pitch today plus the unused subs. I bet not many cost over £40m each, if any. There's bargains and value to be had out there, we need to be more adventurous in our signings. Not every player needs to have PL experience. Not all RCBs need to cost £65m from a bottom half PL team.

Was holding the bottom of his back a few times on Sunday. Looked in a bit of pain in the second half after one heavy knock.
-
Bruno's replacement in the medium term.
-
2-1 win followed by a 4-1 defeat at Anfield.
-
Last time took us about 45 minutes from leaving the stadium to getting onto tube platform. And that was a defeat and not staying in the stadium to see the trophy presentation. Was a tube every 3 mins back into the city.

Ditto. I've paid £550 in the East Stand for 14 years. I'm expecting to pay about £950 next season.

Nothing to see here, https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cgrnqvqek4ro

What a player. Easy to forget how young he is. He'll be brilliant with the correct coaching which is exactly what he'll get under Howe.

Not seen any replays but in real time Targett, Longstaff, Almiron and probably Barnes need to be sold to raise PSR funds. All very poor today. Only going to get worse, apart from Barnes who might hold his value. Miley was very good, Kelly grew into the game as did Osula. Bruno and Gordon made a big difference.
