We’re absolutely levels above this shower of shite.

As grim as this period is, Howe has to stay until the summer regardless of the result against that lot on Saturday. Write this season off and then the owners have a decision to make, but for this season at least it’s a non-starter even entertaining the idea of sacking him. Few new faces this month and we could be going into February with some optimism. Big win on Saturday could reignite our season.

I don’t think changing the stadium name to anything other than SJP will go down too well, even if there is a financial benefit to it.
-
I think the truth will come out eventually regarding the transfer, and whether Milan and their representatives knew. As for Tonali, anything less than 110% next season and I’d be happy to see the back of him for half the price we paid. I’ve got no time for selfish individuals and if Tonali isn’t willing to dig deep for us then I’ll drive him to Newcastle airport myself.

Recruitment of a RW is priority numero uno in my opinion. Almiron should be moved on in the summer. Excellent servant but in recent weeks has really demonstrated his inability to be anything more than a hard worker.

Strange one this, Howe clearly isn't a fan. If you're Lewis Hall, you must be incredibly cheesed off seeing Matt Ritchie come on instead of you (as unproductive as Matt Ritchie is!) Whilst he struggled against Dortmund, on the whole he's done alright considering his age.

6 points from Luton and Forest, then tonight is forgotten about. Similar to the Milan game, no time to dwell on what could have been, Luton are no pushovers.
-
His complete reliance on his left foot is really irking me. There was an opportunity tonight to use his right foot, can’t remember whether for a shot or cross, and he just did what he normally does, drag back onto his left foot. Upgrade required sooner rather than later in my opinion. Decent squad player going forward if he’s happy with that role. Not to mention that daft shot from a tight angle at the end.

I'll be sick to the stomach if he plods off to Manure. Whilst I can understand his reasoning if it is for a big payrise, but with us he's got a genuinely exciting project that will do more for his CV than being at MUFC would. If he's as cut-throat and intelligent as they say, you'd like to think he'd recognise our project as being better for him than theirs.

Top 4 I think is unlikely for us given our away form and the sheer bad luck with injuries. Right now I'd be happy with 5th and a crack at the Carabao/FA Cup. Silverware for me is priority now that we're out of Europe.

That save from Maignan last night was possibly one of the best saves I've seen in a live environment. 9 times out of 10 that goes in the back of the net.
-
Highly frustrating how one footed this guy is. I love Miggy, absolute workhorse and was with us during the dark days. However, as others have said, longer term we're going to need better.

Gutted but proud in equal measure. That equaliser completely sucked the energy out of the crowd, especially where I was in the Gallowgate. Knowing Eddie's work ethic and continuous strive for improvement, you can bet he'll learn a lot of lessons from the campaign that will ultimately stand him and the team in good stead going forward. No time to feel sorry for ourselves, we've got to make sure we're ready for Fulham and start to turn around our league form. Tough month ahead no doubt!

Yep agree with the others, we're all in or nothing! I'd be throwing the kitchen sink at it!

Karius redemption arc continues...

Rather stick with Dubravka than go for DDG. He didn't do a lot wrong to warrant losing his number 1 spot, it was only because Pope was better in all areas. Give him a chance, he's been extremely professional since losing his place.

Anyone else heading over to Paris tomorrow? Let’s hope our lads do the business on the pitch and shut these sad bastards up.
-
Hoping tonight and tomorrow goes smoothly for everyone who is travelling over there.
-
I’m also ticketless heading to that area as well. Think that’s where NUST advised we go having liaised with French authorities.

Outstanding preparation for Tuesday. Night and day performance when compared to Bournemouth. Gordon was unreal, Lascelles doing his best Cannavaro impression, and Isak back on the scoresheet. Bring on a trip to Paris on Tuesday. HWTL!!
