  1. Good nights sleep, hopefully the boys had similar. Let’s fucking get into them. Whatever happens, at least make it competitive and take it to the final whistle.
  2. Man City I don’t think will finish top 5. They can’t string a performance together, still have no legs in midfield and leak chances. Teams have to take advantage, us being one.
  3. In all comps, Man City only impressive win from looking appears to be 3-0 v Forest, and if I remember correctly, Forest had plenty of chances in that game and 3-0 flattered Man City. They've been poor all season.
  4. It doesn't, but it's still another 3 points on their tally and a little boost to GD. Rather have a nice cushion than do the chasing.
  5. Think we can say Forest will be getting top 5 and UCL.
  6. Another C / C- player. Probably will be down in championship by the time he’s 30 though because of injuries.
  7. Brighton going to show us up in how to play at Man City int they.
  8. Jota is deadly in the air so I’d rather see Nunez line up. Plus with Nunez, there’s always the potential he could lose his head and get sent off.

Jones is a very good player. We down play the English talent pool so much, it’s actually daft the depth in level of quality that Jones is sneered at, but people will go wild over players like Zubimendi. Szob starts both games against PSG, nothing. Jones starts in Real Madrid / Leverkusen, some of their better performances. I’d be delighted if we had Jones in our midfield collection.

Can’t have MLS as LWB in that then. Think it’ll be a normal 4-3-3. Pickford: Walker/James, Konsa, Guehi, Tino/MLS: Bellingham, Rice, Jones: Gordon/Rodgers, Kane, Foden/Palmer
  11. Tough. Gone with C, because I think for bottom half sides him playing direct RW will yield an output as we’ve seen. But then he’s really limited and the extra 10% we get could be because it’s his hometown club. Like a c- for me but unbeatable d+ for others.

This is a waste of 2 years under Tuchel. MGW not in there ffs Other bright prospects. Walker / Rashford / Henderson ffs. Proper stinky stuff.

    Dan Burn

Like I’m delighted for him, but for an England POV, it’s not great and the squad in general is a mess.

Guy can’t pass a ball. England will be about having the ball and high line, surely you get where I’m angling here?
  15. I’m in the minority, but I like those stadiums if you put your own spin on it. The outside facade being black and white, the end with glass pointing towards the city so the opposite stand still overlooks the city. Most crucial thing for me for new builds, is the surrounding infrastructure. If in leazes park it helps not being too far from existing infrastructure, but still needs some places around the stadium. And preferably not corporate food places, needs some good drinking spots.

Dan Burn apparently in. Still want Jacob Murphy in there.

Delighted for him, but would question what the f Tuchel has been watching?
  18. People moaning about 65k Can never win the club. If it’s 75k+, there’s going to be such a spread of fans, day trippiers, that the atmosphere would turn to shit. 65k allows the growth, keep supply and demand high and when club eventually becomes more successful, keeps the plastics to a minimum.
  19. At his peak output and form, his release clause was £100m and teams were not interested. £60m feels too low considering there's still 3 years, think if we were to consider a sale something around £70m-£75m ball park would be required IMO.
  20. But it wouldn't be selling to balance books if there's even a small substance to it. Be 2nd season of no UCL/Europe, in Brunos prime years where he would've been told we'd be in Europe at this point. So a mutual agreement that if an offer comes in for X value, club would sell. All part of attracting players here needs to be 'give us your all, and we won't stand in your way to leave if a good offer comes in". Ideally you keep hold of main guys as you regularly qualify for Europe, compete for trophies and they go on a free/final year of deal for low value. We're not there, so realism needs to come into play.
  21. Think it’s clear the team will be what started against West Ham. That was a dress rehearsal to work as a XI, then this weeks training analysing that game what needs to be improved.
  22. Year to decide what to do stadium is fair, since it’s a major decision. Training ground I may be giving too much leeway to them, but that’s a challenging decision where to put it. Because it will need to be as close to a major road as possible for ease of in and out, and then not too far from where majority of players will base themselves. Not quite as simple as, there’s some spacious land, slap it there. Have there been any mooted suggestions for locations for this?
  23. Really hope we win on Sunday for Howe. Have ups and downs with him, but there’s absolutely no doubt he’s been pivotal in establishing us a club in top half that’s providing the foundations for club to kick on for rest of decade. A trophy is a fair reflection of his time. Doesn’t happen and say he moves on in 2026, yea we will likely go onto winning something eventually because money talks, but that first trophy won’t be as deserving for that manager to end our drought as it would be under Howe, if people get what I mean.
  24. 10-12 years If we announce preferred option this summer, I’ll be amazed if it’s not built by start of 2030-31 season at the very latest. Saudis will be throwing money at it, government are trying to make building easier, and they will be gagging at wanting a major infrastructure project commence during their government term because of what it brings investment wise / signs of moving forward (even if it’s all for show).
