  1. Think we will drop £50m on a player, but on someone that’s playing at the top level International Team/Europe. I won’t be surprised if noise comes out we will make a move for Guehi again around that price point.
  2. We can safely rule out Hujsen. Far too much noise, and probably agent driving to get other clubs to make a move.
  3. Like you see what Hinshelwood is doing at Brighton, and Miley is better talent IMO.
  4. Solid C at the moment. Feel if he was giving a run of 20+ starts, he’d be a high B. One of the key things for Howe moving forward is how to get him into the team as a main starter because he’s quality is high. Would be linked with £50m+ moves if he had the run of games.
  5. Quality of engrave far better than previous years, guy clearly appreciated the side winning it
  6. I remember when it happened I was hoping he would score because it would be ruled out and I was content he had the ball, when it moved on to someone else I was screaming for referee to blow as if it then went in it wouldn’t have been disallowed
  7. Brentford on a mad winning run away, think it’s 5? All good runs have to end. 2-0 win, cobwebs dusted off from cup final with focus firmly on a UCL push. Same XI.
  8. A - Top talent. Think we will have a tough decision to make on him next summer though, and I’m firmly in mindset of let’s enjoy one more great season of him and cash in. He’d be 28 going on 29 with two years left. Which is sell, or give a 5 year deal for wages circa £250k which is massive, making him a requirement to be starter for majority of that time into his 30s. Pace doesn’t make up his game, but do believe when that yard does drop it’ll limit him further, result in more desperate challenges and probably injuries becoming frequent for him. We’re in stage of still moving forward and he’s parting gift IMO is getting top money and enabling us to evolve and continue spending.
  9. I’d like to think Tino / Hall are two good players for him to have things in common with.
  10. Still on a high from us. When I get a few quite minutes I think back to that final whistle and output of emotion, and I tear up
  11. We’ve also shown against Arsenal over two legs, we can beat top sides. So baring avoiding the truly elite sides, we should back ourselves to go far with some good additions. Getting to UCL QFs will do us loads more than winning ECL IMO, because it shows to the elite players we are not far off and they (if they join) can be the ones to get us to next step.
  12. D+ Think he’s far too limited on ball to be a prem regular in CM, but can do a job as back up starting say 5-8 games across a season.
  13. Difference still to the top clubs is the depth. Nunez / Jones / Elliot / Chiesa / Gakpo are players that can all impact games, as shown with two of them linking up for the goal. We’re still a way off from having depth of that level.
  14. What’s rationale for it being this early in March? Got big league game few days later
  15. They are only still holding on because it's fodder they're facing and home ties are just enough. If they faced Bilbao next round they would've been going out. Frankfurt game will be close, but one that may favour Spurs because they're just as open as they are. So if it's you attack, we attack, that's Spurs best chance of winning.
  16. Thought he just said he should be next England manager? Which come 2026, he should be, seeing he's only current English manager to win a major trophy and managing at a big club. Think he'll be priced out though, as I'd expect we'll give him a new deal and comes down to if Howe himself would want an England release clause inserted.
  17. They said on commentary we'd hear from official the decision, and as they was communicating that the game was back underway and they continued talking like they didn't realise the game had restarted. Was worded by Mike Dean that it would be offside because Kelleher had to dive to side of Bruno, and not able to go forward, but what keeper dives forward in that situation?
  18. Anyone know when he's due back? Because he may be needed more than just a cameo in this final run. Can still have a big part to play in securing UCL again.
  19. The ones I know around here, all been gracious and accept they were totally outplayed from word go. Not sure how any Liverpool fan can say otherwise. On reflection as days go on, that was as dominant as a final you can see. 2-0 up, relative control, should've been more considering the chances and positions we had (I also strongly disagree on the disallowed goal), and wasn't until Jones effort that whilst a good save from Pope, was down the middle, there was nothing else till Bruno tried a roulette in middle of pitch and we was caught out of shape. As on par as like Man City beating Watford what 5-0 few seasons ago IMO.
  20. Wish he would pull out of International squad, guy needs a good rest before the big run

    Lewis Hall

Said it in match thread, I couldn't see any of him so wasn't sure if he was somewhere because of the surgery. Said it would be a shame he misses out, but I'm sure the players would've had him on facetime and he'd be loving things, with his leg cocked up.

    Nick Pope

He's inclusion for me was to deal with crosses, and he showed that in the final 20. Every corner, he came out with authority and got something on it (with reasonable distance). Just small things, but in grand scheme takes so much pressure of a defence who can be more mentally relaxed and switched on for rest of in-play game situations. Genuinely amazed Liverpool did not take any long shots on in the game. Weird from them.
  23. Pope got booked for time wasting, and I swear it was waiting for a sub that didn't happen
