Tonali first time passes are just so wasteful. Like towards end of first half it was played to him on edge of box and he tried a really difficult first time pass and it went easily out for a goal kick. He just doesn’t have the finesse for that type.

And MLS season has ended. Been a proper bad loan for him, but suppose long term it’s best he didn’t join permanently and be stuck on a deal there, and instead can move elsewhere in 2026. Just a shitter for him as it comes off back of a really good summer for him and his confidence high.

People keep saying in past ‘this game can be our Brentford game’, but this run of 4 league games is a collective Brentford game. If we can’t pick up 12 points, then we will not finish top half IMO. It’s a great chance to get points, confidence and momentum as we then go into the tougher games afterwards.

You just don’t register them if you can’t get them out. It’s 4 months of the season, it’s better having someone who can contribute and de-register one or two. We have three cups to play for and to claw back in league, taking a £5m-£10m hit in wages is a short term gamble we likely need to make this season, unlike previous.
