Isak and another striker in there with Willock / Osula out, and that’s a squad that’s ready for Europe and Prem, unlike last time. It’s so close, yet so far.
-
I do hope we see Barnes through middle more tonight and let Gordon attack Jones.
-
In that analogy, if the boiler engineer had one in his van right now to replace it for 3k would you take it or say nope, I’ll get one elsewhere and get it fitted for £1k+ less. You’d do the latter.
-
Murphy for Elanga only change IMO. As we go with side as close to Wembley final as possible.
-
They’re worth £50m+ because the money in prem is strong and clubs don’t need to buy. It doesn’t = quality. Vardy is honestly a better replacement for next 12 months. We create enough good chances, if they’re a striker that’s competent, they’ll score goals. There has to be players abroad who can offer that to us instead of paying £60m+ because they’re an ‘established’ name.
-
Then why are we targeting £50m-£60m strikers for that? I find it hard to believe we can’t pick someone up from Europe for half that. Theirno Barry was half that.
-
Yes. You don’t spend £60m on someone like Larsen as a rotation option. The talk around Isak is to help us maintain our strength in negotiations for when Liverpool come back and for us not paying over the price (lol) for a striker. But if we’re moving for £60m for Larsen, it’s clear to me that Isak is agreed to be sold by end of window and we’ll try and push for Wissa up to end for £45m.
-
This isn’t a Wilson replacement for £60m Desperation to do this deal is clearly with intention of Isak going to be sold 100% by end of this window. Depressing.
-
This feels another nod towards Isak of “We’ve tried, but you are not going anywhere”. More than £50m for Larsen is dumb. Also reinforces Brentford hand to want £50m for Wissa.

Scratch Chelsea back to sign Jackson, gives favourable terms to then sign him? Two done in quick succession.
-
Fulham are as pathetic against Man Utd as we are against Man City.
-
Forest bench looks good on paper. Should be real dark horses, especially with Nuno style, to win Europa.
-
He’s 31 and not 24.
-
Longer contract on good wages though. He could’ve stayed here, but the feelings towards him would’ve got toxic and his chances of getting a good deal at the end would be lowered. This way, he got the deal, leaves having won a trophy and played in UCL already, and can come back anytime with good feelings.

Jan Virgili Looks a fun player for Barca u20s. They have so many good youths coming through still. If they don’t block the pathways too much and add the right quality, they should have a proper elite side by end of this decade.
-
Their fans can’t be shocked about Monchi Literally what his career is built on, signing 15, selling 15, season after season and moving on eventually leaving the clubs with bloated squads that are bit of a mess.
-
Reality check for the Mackems. Saw the side they beat at home, be slapped 5-1 at home themselves. Then they go away to Burnley and lose 2-0. It’s a side that doesn’t have goals and will be a struggle all season.
-
We don’t have one striker on our books, and he’s play 1 min of football this season, likely another minute on Monday. It’s getting rid time. Loan ideally to see what he’s really like with a full season, but if there’s a £15m offer there, you have to take it.
-
Been said for multiple summers, Man City need to sign someone with legs for CM and they keep avoiding it. Rejinders is a good technical player but doesn’t tick that box. Mixed in with average quality out wide, it’s a squad that’s still got glaring issues and little star power of previous times. They deserve serious questioning over their spending since 2023, but because they have fuck all fans it’s not worth it. Wasted so much money on average crap.
-
Spurs going to be an annoying side to play against now they’ve got a competent defensive manager.
-
Hopefully this is the season we don’t treat them like it’s Man City of 2018-2021.
-
Paulinha would’ve been so good for us in UCL.
-
If we beat Liverpool and sort out striker situation, I’d really back us to finish top 3.
