For some context to last few posts, here is the interview with Mark Douglas. Interesting article considering no one has talked about or to him in a footballing sense, only ever about financials. He makes fair points in the interview, and to be fair to the lad he's done very well on loan. Clearly wanted opportunities last season to prove his worth, which he is now doing afield. If he wants to compete for the no 1 role here, I say why not, appreciate the candour and ambition. That said, not sure Eddie is the kind of manager to really give those opportunities, Ramsdale only afforded his through a serendipitous injury.

For real. In a perfect world we'd have someone in the vein of Semenyo, Mbuemo. Failing that, something profile-wise like Estevao or even Akliouche. The single attribute they all share (in my mind) is fearlessness. From that attribute plus their footballing quality comes playmaking and creation. Hard to say what our transfer strategy will be in the short term with injuries, shortfalls in fullback and iffy goalkeeping. Hopefully we'll be looking to upgrade offensively sooner or later, even if that means moving Gordon on or similar.

Totally disagree like. Teams will get crosses no matter what, and you can't let someone ghost into the box unmarked. Totally agree he should be playing every game he can.
