  1. This will be nonsense, thankfully. He’s rubbish.
  2. It’s because we need “home grown” players for Europe.
  3. I think people get annoyed that the relentless financial mismanagement of your club, years of dire signings on galactic wages and holding ludicrous levels of debt has no real world consequences beyond arbitrary firing of low paid workers.
  4. It’s a bit dispiriting that we can’t sign a player as soon as a cartel club make a bid, no matter how dogshit they are. not sure where we go from here, but shopping domestically for a premier league player whose had a good season seems to be beyond us.
  5. Man that’s gutting. How do Man U have the funds for this? And why are people choosing them when they so unbelievably, irredeemably shit? ugh, infuriating.
  6. Louise Taylor using the “around 100M” figure too, hard to see how we fill 4 positions if that’s even remotely true…90 goes on Trafford and Mbeumo alone at the prices quoted.
  7. Hopefully there’s upside in either scenario. Fernandes stays and they have less to spend, or they lose their talisman, the guy who has singled handedly bailed them out again and again and one of their only leaders.
  8. Nah, I don’t agree with any of that.
  9. He’s not shite. He’s brilliant with his feet for one, and will prove to be a very good signing for Brentford. We will have to hope Trafford turns out to be better, but that is far from clear at this moment.
  10. When people say they want someone more “technical” than Mbeumo I assume they are talking about guys like Barcola.
  11. If he’s not going to Barcelona why would he choose Villa over us?
  12. The Hardy article is very downbeat. No chance of a “finished article like Guehi” links us to some very underwhelming names like Rudoni and Quansah. can only hope he’s miles off.
  13. Pitiful capitulation by Betis. What a joke of a competition.
  14. Is he much worse than Schar in the air? Wouldn’t the plan be Botman/Burn for aerial ability and Guehi for pace?
  15. Underwhelming Compared to what? I do think there is a section of fans who’d rather take a punt on a foreign player they’ve never seen play then ever make a domestic signing!
  16. In previous seasons, Brentford were constructed around Toney. It’s no surprise that Wissa and Mbeumo have been somewhat liberated in his absence. At Newcastle he’ll be playing in a better team with a manager at least as good. I think his numbers can get better. As others have said he’s a two for one, providing excellent cover for Isak centrally too. And having another class penalty taker in the ranks is always useful.
  17. Just got beat by some random Asian “all-stars”. They are absolutely useless, and anyone joining them is going only for money at this point.
  18. We’ll see I guess. I feel like there’s a window to get Mbeumo done if we move early.
  19. I guess one hopes that not every single player is a soulless mercenary and also Man U do have financial issues which have to bite at some point considering they’ve just flung more millions at Cunha.
  20. It’s been reported he wants to play Champions league.
  21. I really want us to sign Mbeumo, think he’s perfect for us. Him and Guehi in early, I could kind of relax for the summer and see what happens and not be in here refreshing constantly.
  22. Wasn’t it Richard Hughes the much lauded guy who now has the role at Liverpool?
  23. We’ve seen players choose Chelsea over Arsenal, over Liverpool…so I guess it’s no surprise…though they remain arguably the most unlikeable club in a world football.
  24. He admitted to being tired in a recent interview and it showed a lot in the last few games. He needs a proper break now which he’ll hopefully get now Brazil games notwithstanding.
  25. There is no longer any remaining footballing reason to join manchester reds. It’s all about dem crazy wages so we can dismiss anyone who signs for them over us as a dead eyed merc who wouldn’t have fitted in under Eddie anyway.
