Unlike last summer it’s absolutely imperative replacements are signed first before anyone is allowed to leave. Otherwise we get taken to the cleaners and cartel clubs pick off our targets just to pad out their reserves. sky are already working themselves into a frenzy listing Bruno, Tonali, Livramento, Hall and Gordon as possible/nay inevitable departures once we miss out on champions league so we need to be proactive AF.

Everton have one win in 5. If we score twice that should be enough. -
Origi scored a lot of crucial goals. Not sure Osula has it in him, he’s never really scored consistently at any level.

I’d love Murphy to succeed here and he did fine last night but I haven’t seen anything to suggest he’s PL standard. No way he’ll start as you say, and I get why. -
Emil Krafth to leave club at end of the season (Official)

Surely down to giving him every chance to avoid surgery but then he trains and it becomes apparent it won’t work. He’d have been out for the season either way. -
Why stop at Bruno and Isak! Howe has had so many world class talents to choose from. Joelinton, Longstaff Jacob Murphy to name but three. I mean does Howe contribute anything at all? I’m sure Graeme Jones could achieve similar.

Fair play to Brentford, they are very hard to play against it. I wish we’d just bought Kelleher instead of messing around with Trafford and Ramsdale.

I thought Ramsay’s performance the other night might give some people pause before writing off Nick (and Wissa) entirely but… I don’t think we can sell him at a loss in the summer for PSR reasons, so we’re going to have to persist a bit longer. It’s a stretch but I don’t remember Gravenberch pulling up any trees in his first season, Wirtz has been totally ineffective until quite recently - there’s plenty of examples. the Twitter narrative that Eddie has “ruined” him is irritating - he does need to improve plenty of things even to make it as a 10 in this league.

Villa look tired out there. Beatable, for sure.

I mean Gordan offered more in 35 minutes up front against Liverpool than the other two have for weeks. I don’t think we can be too surprised. -
Yeah I remember that spell, he absolutely turned it around again and was invaluable for a spell including the cup final and the winning run, but anyway, doesn’t matter much at the moment.
-
To be fair he was very good in the cup final, so 2 years is ludicrously harsh. But the gig looks up now, for sure.
-
Is that not down to no preseason, a serious knee injury and next to no training with his new team? Clutching at straws a bit, but I just don’t believe he is this bad.
-
He’s an absolute legend, and he’ll be suffering worse than any of us right now. Feel for him, and hoping he gets the time to turn it round.
-
Perhaps, but to me, it looks like his confidence is on the floor and I doubt he put up much of a fight to take it. He missed in the shootout, I wonder if that has damaged him too.
-
Perhaps. I saw a guy afraid to shoot when he came on. I remain a fan of his, but if I’m striker without a goal in this many games I’m demanding it.
