And that is why, you do not sell Harvey Fucking Barnes. -
Is it really basics though? I think holding the ball under intense pressure from multiple players is an elite skill. It’s worth remembering that the greats of yesteryear never faced a coordinated press that even the weakest

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (playing for Leeds United)

There is absolutely no doubt that he would have put away a few of the Murphy centres none of our lads get near. In hindsight he would have been a very good third choice for the season instead of Osula, but there ya go. -
Antonio 'Antoñito' Cordero (on loan at Westerlo)

I look forward to him not getting a game for Cadiz and everyone blaming Shola Ameobi. -
So much for Watkins being finished. Emery is a genius to coach that side to 11 straight wins. Fair play to him.

Feel for him for a bit tonight. Totally controlled the game and yet watched our players make spectacularly poor decisions and dreadful execution over and over. Yes, of course, he bears responsibility but the players need to hang their heads after that.

He was poor again, though Joelinton offered almost nothing in his stead. That chance where he just fell over sums it up. Miley has to be nailed on in there now once Tino returns. Though the fear is that despite their talents the Bruno, Tonali, Miley unit still badly lacks creativity and even solidity at times.

From a very low bar, that was incrementally better. It was a shot from a guy with absolutely zero confidence, I feel sorry for him. We have no choice but to persevere with and hope he scores a jammy deflection or something.

Oh yeah absolutely, but refs love him and we know what happens. -

I think this was different to other games where we’ve thrown away leads. The ref bottles it for the peno at 2-1 and Chelsea played really fucking well for a spell and scored 2 good goals. I just wish we’d follow players into the half spaces, as soon as palmer gets the ball there you know he’s gonna be fouled. -
You’re right, but I also think if we’d bid we would have been gazumped by a “bigger” club, which was the style at the time.

Semenyo is wanted by Liverpool, City and Man U. We can forget about that one.

Eddie said Joelinton would only come on in an emergency, he’s managing an injury. Can’t see him being fit to start on Sat. -

Why is it the worst possible draw? We just beat City and deservedly so. -
Anyone who is Howe out at this point is a fucking lunatic. He’s made quite a few mistakes this season but his credit in the bank covers it and then some.

That doesn’t stack up though, our last loss to a newly promoted side was Luton. We always put them away. It’s the mid ranking teams we struggle with.
