Why? Do they put serial winners on trial at The Hague?
-
It was the Trippier move of acting as the shithousery magnet in the build up to the spot kick. Marmoush was always going to take it.

Since VAR was introduced in the PL, does anyone know how many times the ref has gone to the monitor but stuck to his original decision? I think I can remember just one, a while back. To speed the game up maybe the VAR should just tell the on field ref to change his decision.

I like Palace’s strip. Not as good as ours, though.

The deserve it and should do better than Spuds or the manc reds.

A promoted team managing to stay in the PL is going to become a very rare event.

Onana looks worse than Pope with his feet. That plus his frequent blunders - what’s he doing playing in the PL?

Hojlund is so poor.

Fak was that Son?

Good on the ref for carding Cash for asking for a yellow for the Spurs player.

Spurs. Memories of Steve Bruce’s Newcastle come flooding back. Punch bag for 80 minutes and if still level or 1-0 down, try to nick a goal at the end.
-
Eddie Howe. First domestic cup for his club in 70 years and beat Forest, Arsenal and Liverpool to do it.

Would make a cracking beer mat.

No way is Le Fee worth £20,000.

Frank should get his boots on - he wouldn’t be out of place.

That’s the spirit. Sandro needs to learn some of that.

Might work, but Burn could still need a keeper behind him.

I think Coventry will be raging after that first game - could be interesting tomorrow. And no, I don’t want the mackems promoted. Derby games always throw up more uncertainty for the better side and we don’t want that in a game against one of the three relegation fodder.

Confirmed by the BBC. Do you honestly think that’s the reason the club are doing it? Players are getting only 2 free tickets but can apply for more ….. if they PAY for them. Would that be to get more fans in too?

Correct. Hence all the controversy over Suarez’s comment a few years back. Different cultures clashing.

VAR should’ve intervened and it was a red card. You can argue all day about what he ‘meant’ to do but it’s what he did that counts. You thrust your elbow at chest height or above at an opponent then you get what’s coming. Reminded me of VVDs shoulder charge to Gordon’s head. Another nailed on red. But, not a peep from VAR on either. Why am I not surprised anymore?
