Their tactic every game is to give it everything for a 0-0 and hope they'll get some luck and nick one. 20 goals in 19 games, thrilling stuff. It'll only work for so long, eventually they'll actually have to play to win.

One of the first names on our team sheet is a forward without a open play goal for 29 games, almost 12 months since his last. It's an uphill battle from there. Barnes contributes more in a 3 or 4 game spell when he's actually picked, than Gordon does in a season. With Wolt not a number 9, and Murphy supposedly the one we want to move on from, it doesn't give you much hope of scoring goals.

Yet Gordon gets a regular start for England, unbelievable given his form for the last 18 months.

Be lucky to keep hold of him in the summer, he's a level above the rest of the 11 at present.

In the last 7 games (and also the whole season) he's scored 2 penalties and got 1 assist. Far from the top player he believes he is.

Just like the Chelsea game he had chances today that a 'top' player as he'll claim to be, would bury. He's not up to it. We were supposed to find the upgrade on Miggy on the right and we didn't, and we are playing our worst option on the last too. We've missed our chance to cash in on Gordon now, nobody would even pay would we paid for him at that minute.

Don't agree with that, have felt like the last 3 seasons you know within 10 minutes what Newcastle is turning up. Fair enough this season we've got early goals at West ham and Brentford and been shite after mind you.
