Seems odd to me. West Ham have been fairly decent recently, Nuno has got them getting results. Only 3 defeats in their last 11 league games and they were against Liverpool, Aston Villa and Chelsea away. Can definitely see a scenario where West Ham and Leeds play out a draw on the final day to save them both

Aye. Football is clearly all set up against poor little Spurs. Things like FFP, market value sponsorship and refereeing decisions have all been put in place to relegate them. My heart bleeds.

If you fancy me mate just drop me a DM, rather than stalking my posts.

Marseca is a fraud imo. Leicester started their Championship season like a whirlwind but got worked out and they ended up stumbling over the line. His time at Chelsea was basically a replication of that. He’s Pep-lite and unless we bought a whole new squad his very stubborn approach to his brand of football would end up in disaster.

A bit of a myth this is. He’s been much better on the ball the second half of the season. Had a 76% pass rate today, higher than Tonali, Gordon and Murphy also better than players like Munoz and Hughes for Palace. 2/2 long passes, 4 attempted passes in the final third. No idea why we played him when he only needed to avoid a yellow today. He’d have been more important against Bournemouth and Arsenal than today.

Thought it was a stonewall penalty to be honest. For once you can actually see the action of the shirt pull changing the movement of the impacted player, admittedly before he feels it and throws himself to the floor dramatically. The issue of consistency is a different conversation but not sure how anyone can dispute that being a foul.

It’s difficult to answer without knowing what pool we’re finishing in. Ancelloti would be high on my list/first choice, but no idea if he would come after the World Cup. Alonso would be interesting but probably going to Liverpool. If he wasn’t I’d be interested in him. Hoeness, Glasner, Valverde, Iraola and Nagelsmann other options but no idea on their availability, interest levels or other options. Wouldn’t be against us and England swapping managers after the World Cup, but very unlikely. Either way we need to make a decision and act decisively. Whatever the club choose to do I will back but it would be a disaster to not have it decided quickly so we can plan accordingly across the summer.

Wonder how good Murphy and Elanga must be in training and how they cannot ever translate that into a performance on the pitch. You’re having an absolutely nightmare tonight, just log off and try to relax rather than making a fool of yourself on the internet.

What “goods” were you expecting Wissa to deliver in his appearances of *checks notes* 2 and 1 minutes in the last 2 games?

I’m not confident at all Howe gets us in Europe next season. Certainly not CL or Europa.
-
We’ve scored more goals than Villa in 4th. Conceded more than Forest fighting relegation.
-
Getting the same treatment Hall did during his first season. Very few minutes and no opportunity to play into form. Whether that was a Howe masterstroke or delaying our opportunity to have a player on the pitch to improve us is up for debate. Had we played him up front every match since he was fit again, would we have more or less points? I think I know the answer to that.

Fucking hope not.

Solely blaming PIF for not replacing the DoFs that Howe has had power struggles with is some stretch even for those two Howe FC supporters. It probably took so long to replace them as it was difficult finding one that he would be willing to work with

It’s criminal how far away we are from this utterly shite Chelsea team. 6th is there for the taking this season. Hope Brentford get it, they deserve it.

Will Osula: Goal vs Man United nominated for PL Goal of the Season
Sir Joel Inton replied to a topic in Football
He’s the definition of a Pardew “chaos factor” player. Don’t think he even knows what he’s going to do with the ball sometimes. He’s not good enough for a team with European ambitions though. I think we’ll make a good profit on him in the summer and he’ll go somewhere like Germany and perform really well. We should put a hefty sell on clause in his sale. -
They should scrap Sky and stream it on OnlyFans. Would be the only suitable way.

Arsenal bottling the league and finishing trophyless along with Spurs going down would be orgasmic. Genuinely would let a little bit of love wee out.

If we bought someone in during the summer, I’d be happy to afford them time assuming I can see a plan, some positives in the performances and coherence in our play. You know, a bit like I did with Howe when he first came in and it took a while to get going. If someone came in, we had dreadful performance after dreadful performance, they were making the same errors week in week out and we were visibly going backwards, I’d probably suggest they’re not the right person for the job.

According to @Kid Icarustoday, you’re only allowed to criticise Howe if: 1. You can provide a bank statement and two utility bills possessing an NE1 postcode. 2. Are able to share evidence of daily criticisms of the ownership in the last 3 months. 3. Have responded to each and every one of his posts critiquing the ownership. 4. Can provide the CV of a manager who has agreed terms with us, has won the Premier League and Champions League and can guarantee us success. 5. Have never resided outside of England for more than 2 weeks, at the risk of turning plastic. 6. Have never criticised Howe’s delays in substitutions or criticised the performance of a substitute he has bought on. Then and only then may you suggest that Howe got it slightly wrong today and requires 3 more transfer windows, £1.2bn transfer funds and a DoF and CEO of his choosing to fully assess his performance.

Ranieri transformed a relegation fighting team into Premier League winners. I wouldn’t want him at Newcastle though. Leicester also rightly sacked him. Replaced him with Rogers and went back to competing in Europe and winning an FA Cup. Rogers has more honours than Howe. He was kept on for far too long at Leicester, despite significant evidence he was not learning or getting better and they took too long to sack him and ended up getting relegated. They’ve not recovered since. Blind loyalty is not always the answer.
-
To be fair, Trippier was at fault for 2 goals a game before Tino came back.
-
PSR might stop us competing with Barcelona or Liverpool, but it doesn’t cause us to be turned over home and away to the mackems, by Palace, Everton, Bournemouth, West Ham, Brighton… It also doesn’t cause us to pre-programme our substitutions before a game, or stop us from playing formations more suited to the personnel. There are lots of mitigations for Howe, but when you focus on the aspect HE is in complete control of, he’s done a very poor job this season.
-
De Zerbi coming in now feels like when Rafa came to us. A month too late. He’ll stop them being as calamitous as they’ve been but he won’t be able to improve them quickly enough. Not a single league win in 2026 and they expect to pick up 2 or 3 in a month?

Posting hyperbolic nonsense based on absolutely no evidence doesn’t make your point any more valid.
