Totally shocked by this, surely must mean Beye and Faye are in the bag or would be a very silly sell. Don't think he was PL quality yet but good cover.

Surely means Faye and Beye are going to sign? Would be ridiculous to let him leave if not.

Nah the players have been saying they're gonna sign for a laugh.

Yeah you're right, no transfer deals ever hit a snag. Not saying they won't sign, merely pointing out that they haven't as of yet.

He was not going to get ahead of the likes of Rozy, Cacapapa, Taylor, Faye and would only have played third fiddle. So it is not only the best for the club but also for the player. At this stage he still has the chance to not go down the McClen-route of failed talents...

Thanks for the goal against Spuds Hunty.

However, with sams dealings you were never going to get a sniff this year so you have made the best decision.

Excellent.

Lets buy loads of 28+ year olds and sell our future, what a fucking joke.

Can't believe I've just seen this.

I'd rather have let him leave on loan for a season and see how he progressed before letting him leave permanently. I think he has some potential and it's probably too early to say with him one way or another just what level he will be most suited to.

Anyway, good luck to him with  his new club.

He played with look of someone who shitting themselves, it didn't help him that played left back a lot though. Would rather of kept him than Damage but with Damage being out he ain't going nowhere till Jan at the earliest.

Probably his current level. If he's good enough for the Championship, he'll probably get that chance next season even with Leeds' 15 points off.

All this time and I bet people saw "nufc.co.uk text alerts" or whatever comes up and they shit themselves with delight to see "Paul Huntington has signed for Leeds"

Ahhhh yeah.  Went off and saw it was from club.  Stupid bastards.  If the next one is to tell us Parker has joined West Ham,  I'll be pissed.  (they never did confirm it)

Thought Huntingdon was a central defender whereas Edgar is a LB. As well as playing out of position when he was selected, doesn't seem like he had a chance. Perhaps he chose to leave recognizing that SA prefers players approaching 30, especially foreigners.

Good chance that Taylor will be the next one out of the door.

PAUL Huntington has left Newcastle United to sign for Leeds United for an undisclosed fee.

The Cumbrian-born central defender, 19, featured 11 times for the Magpies at senior level. His highlight came last season with a goal at White Hart Lane in a 3-2 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

Paul played for Newcastle Reserves on Wednesday night in a 2-2 draw against Sunderland, when Leeds boss Denis Wise and assistant Gus Poyet were in the crowd at the Stadium of Light.

His first mission at Elland Road will be to help the West Yorkshire club climb off the bottom of the League One table where they are currently anchored on minus six points.
