Teasy
The team: Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Charlie Milner Butt Faye Smith Duff Martins Dont see anything wrong there, we need to be defensive as we are away to Chelsea, we cant play Enrique because he hasnt played alot this season and away to Chelsea we are probably best to keep the person who has been our LB all season. IF we won our last 4 games and were in the top 8 right now people would be happy with that line up, we arnt playing for a win today, we are playing not to lose. We have a defensive midfielder, defender and striker in midfield, you don't see anything wrong with that?
Yorkie
The team: Given Beye Taylor Cacapa Charlie Milner Butt Faye Smith Duff Martins Dont see anything wrong there, we need to be defensive as we are away to Chelsea, we cant play Enrique because he hasnt played alot this season and away to Chelsea we are probably best to keep the person who has been our LB all season. IF we won our last 4 games and were in the top 8 right now people would be happy with that line up, we arnt playing for a win today, we are playing not to lose. Our best defender is in midfield. Our best midfielder is in defense. Martins can't, for shit, play upfront on his own. It's the same system as Wigan meaning it'll probably be balls over heads again. Smith's in the team. It's an ultra, ultra, ULTRA defensive centre-midfield - three defensive midfielder ffs! Shite line-up.
Shak
Given Beye Taylor Cacapa N'Zogbia Faye Butt Smith Milner Duff Martins I'd put good money on that. Faye/Butt has the potential to be the least creative central midfield we've ever deployed if he does go 4-4-2. You're almost certainly right. Faye-Butt-Smith as a three man midfield.
Big Geordie
So it could be 3-5-2, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 then ? Confusion reigns once more.
Errol82
So it could be 3-5-2, 4-4-2 or 4-3-3 then ? Confusion reigns once more. I bet the players are as confused about the formation, as we are...
Rich
Geremi not even in the 16, either, although at least Allardyce has picked an attacking bench.
