Dembele of AZ refused the Birmingham City offer. Both clubs already agreed a fee of EUR 6 mln. Mcleish said that Dembele preferred other prem clubs who were in for him. Wonder who? Disco Posted August 12, 2010 Share Posted August 12, 2010 Leon Osman is an underrated player imo. Yep. Even amongst some of our own fans. He plays very well in the centre but doesn't get many games there because we've got the likes of Fellaini, Arteta & Cahill. Still does a pretty good job on the right though, high workrate and gets his fair share of goals & assists every season. Just lacks that bit of pace and strength to be real quality. Can you really see someone who just started on the winning team in the WC final to accept a probable position on the reserve bench? Hleb would be a good replacement for Benayoun at Liverpool anyway. Chelsea have paid 20 million for that Ramires (though hes not exclusively a DM tbf). Yaya Toure was 24 million. Even Carrick and Mikel (DMs at Man U and Chelsea respectively) were 18 million and 16 million a few years ago. Why shouldn't Mascherano be worth more?
