Dean Ashton is everything that Fernando Torres wants to be.

Different players, really, 2J.

It was an old forum joke about HTT saying that Ashton was better than Torres. :(

Aye, but HTT was in love with Ashton, I think.

I thought it was Rob Hulse.

That was me, apparently  :shifty:

It's a sad irony that his career would be virtually ended from that injury he suffered while training with England, while being contracted to a club with a proud history of players over the years playing well for England.

He must need the money. [/Any Keegan detractor]

He's going to bless us with his pearls of wisdom, that's wor Kev, what a saint. :smitten: [/Any of those that wank themselves silly over the thought of Keegan becoming manager again every night.]

And from the other 293 injuries he suffered playing football.

Never been the same since that particular one.

Everton agree 24m fee for Lescott. Good deal all round.

Everton get double what he's worth and can get a few good players in.

Man City don't care about the money and get a good player.

Lescott gets to achieve more in his career than finishing 5th.

Will you be saying that when they bid 12m for Taylor?

We've got to played hardball with Everton then, they have the cash so I wouldn't want to accept anything less than 10 mill for Taylot. I don't think he is worth it then again Taylor is worth more of his 10 million than Lescott is worth of his 24...

I really hope we keep hold of Taylor, but if the money is silly and we do get the chance to replace him then there is not much we can do.

Top defender and an international. Plus he's English and its Man City, so he's bound to cost a bomb
