Keefaz
From .com The progress this season of Magpies reserve defender Tamas Kadar has been recognised with his maiden senior international callup. 18 year-old Kadar is in the Hungary squad for upcoming friendly games against Greece and Croatia in Budapest. Good on him. What do our reserve watchers think of the lad?

James
Some good quotes/info: http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/nufc/newcastle-united-news/2008/05/13/toon-young-gun-joins-mag-yars-72703-20901979/ NEWCASTLE United defender Tamas Kadar has hailed Toon boss Kevin Keegan after being called up to the full Hungarian national squad. Kadar arrived on Tyneside in January from Soproni Liga outfit Zalaegerszegi and has made rapid progress in the Magpies’ second string this term. The 18-year-old ended the season with a Northumberland Senior Cup winner’s medal after Adam Sadler’s side beat Blyth Spartans on penalties, and has now won a call-up to the Magyars’ senior squad for games with Greece and Croatia in Budapest. And speaking about Keegan today, Kadar told the Chronicle: “He is a very kind man, and has helped me a lot. “I know that I'm in a very lucky situation, because I can learn from one of the biggest personalities ever in English football history. “He was a brilliant player, and very successful manager. “When I go back to Hungary everybody likes to hear something about Mr Keegan, but I can tell them just one very simple thing: he is a very good manager, and I enjoy every day to work with him.” Kadar is likely to be involved in both games at some stage with new Hungarian gaffer Erwin Koeman, brother of Dutch legend Ronald, also calling up Sunderland keeper Martin Fulop. Former handball player Kadar is yet to make his Toon debut but is certain to get a taste of first-team action over the pre-season programme with the player able to play both left-back and centre-half. And he says he is loving life on Tyneside. He added: “It’s an absolutely amazing feeling to be here and be a player of this fantastic club. “I try to do my best every day, because I know a big club signed me, and I would like to show that they made a good decision.” Such a positive attitude will be refreshing to hear from the Toon Army with many reserve team regulars impressed by Kadar’s contributions. And his progress has been even more impressive considering the youngster left the sleepy Hungarian town of Veszprem in the eastern European countryside and had limited knowledge of the English language back in January. Yet just like his progress on the field, Kadar has emulated it in the study halls. He says: “I think my English is improving from day to day, I played some good games for the reserves and I hope that my performance was good enough. “My father spent six weeks here and helped me to settle. “I hope my girlfriend will arrive in the summer, so when I will come back from my holiday she will come with me. “She has to finalise her schoolwork in Hungary, and we hope that she will find something for her in the city, because she is a professional basketball player, and she would like to continue her career as a player.”
