I live in Walsall and a lot of my mates are fans. They were absolutely gutted he left, as he did an absolutely outstanding job on a shoe string

- Made a hell of a lot of money for the club selling Scott Danns and Dan Fox

- got within a whisker of the playoffs with one of the leagues lowest budgets

- Was wanted by a host of championship clubs

- Brought some good youth players through

Very pleased he is here, the academy is in very safe hands

He was utter gash for my local team back here in Sweden, probably not all his fault though, the club was in a massive downwards-spiral.

Glad to hear he's done better elsewhere though, seems to be a decent appointment after all.

Only in today's Chron he was talking about his Swindon link as "rumours are rumours". But the local Swindon paper said last week Money was the person Swindon wanted.

Not only was he the Academy Director after Sadler got the push he was bossing the 2nd XI on top of his other duties.

Will Dennis step forward & run the Academy or take charge of the stiffs until further notice. Jeff Vetere has youth team coaching experince from his Charlton days,

At least Ashley is covering himself with football people so that when Keegan bottles it he can promote one from the inside (Money or Wise)

He's resigned apparently.

Hasn't he been touted for a few jobs recently?

Off to Swindon by the looks of it.

Good luck to him if so.

good luck but a shame he's got it as gary speed was interviewed for it aswell.

Christ how the frig do you build a solid academy when you chop and change the manager. If MA wants to be an Arsenal actually try sticking to it you muppet.

How is it Mike Ashley's fault if dicky dosh has resigned?

He should be looking to get someone signed for long term, if that means contract clauses that state a minimum time of working then so be it. Gary Speed would have been a better choice in theory, did we not sign Money from a club where he was manager?

He had left his Walsall before joining us. Hopefully we will be seeking full comp off Swindon.

Sheff utd would not let Speed out of his contract. Dickie is in talks with Swindon today, if he doesn't fancy that expect him to turn up at Crewe. People in & around the Academy were none pulsed with the way Money spoke to kids at times.

Anyword on a replacement Clark might have been nice we need to take advantage of Ex Players going into coaching.

Not much about a long term but JFK is making moves to get Pete Kirkley more involved again.

Joe Joyce will probably run the academy & Kenny Wharton will run the reserves

Cant see them giving it back to Joe even on a temp basis.

I know who I'd have chosen out of Gary Speed and Richard Money tbf.

No brainer.

based on what ?

Based on the fact that Money has managed 5 different clubs from England, Australia and Sweden, whilst maintaining a win percentage of over 40% in all of those jobs, other than his first stint in management when he was at Scunthorpe, in which he managed a win percentage of 32.85%.  That and the fact that Gary Speed has managed a total of ZERO clubs.
