Guest ObiChrisKenobi
The Mean Streets of NE12. Actually, pretty sure Ranger lived in the converted Church in NE12 for a while! OH MY!
merlin
Christ, I wish Alan would keep his mouth shut. Why? He's more or less telling everyone Rangers on his last chance. He has the talent but is going to f*** it up with his s*** attitude. If players like Carroll have already had to have words wih him then I think this is the pre cursor to him being peddled. And when he does go we'll all know why. Totally agree - losing patience with this guy, he got a great chance when he moved from Sts, but obviously just happy to do the min and take the dosh...if so, he must go. Guest
Obi's spot on like. If keeping it in house isn't working then making it public so he can't hide it has to be worth a go.
Cronky
I suspect that Ranger's talent is as much a problem as an asset at this point. It enables him to get by without totally stretching himself. He needs to develop the attitude that he's going to be the best player that he can possibly be. The attitude of being just good enough to get a place in the team ahead of this, that or the other player isn't going to get him anywhere. He has to set his own standards, based on his own talent. I worry that he compares himself to other players and says - well I'm better than him, why doesn't he pick me?
Guest
Probably thinks he made it after that cameo against Liverpool. He's nothing yet.
KaKa
Probably thinks he made it because people keep fawning over him on facebook and twitter despite the fact he's done nothing yet.
Guest BooBoo
The lads a moron, needs to knuckle down or he'll blow any chance he has of making it as a player of note.
Guest ObiChrisKenobi
Everytime he thinks he's made it, he should be made to sit down and watch his howler against West Ham. Not just how he missed, and why, but his reaction afterwards.
JH
It's necessary to play this out in public like. Similar to what Jon said, alot of people have been calling for him to start and have been criticising Pardew when he hasn't picked Ranger. He's just explaining why he didn't pick Nile, and it seems to have been the right call.
JH
And you've got to be fucking bad when Andy Carroll is asked to have a word with you
Ronaldo
He must be, on the training pitch at least.
Greg
Aye, Carroll hasn't improved and developed like he has due to a bad attitude on the training pitch, despite what he may have done in his private life.
Dokko
Looked lively when he came on, though struggled in the isolation of one up front which was to be expected. Got some leap on him, though its totally uncontrolled.
Skirge
Pardew is spot on with what he said we all think it about Ranger BUT the stpuid cunt of a manager should be saying it to Nile in a one on one conversation and not to the fkn press.

Guest toonlass
Good on Alan Pardew! Heard from someone who is at the training ground on a daily basis that Nile Ranger is a cock. He seems to think he is a superstar already. Was lauding it over young uns last season because he was playing occasionally. Basically that he's arrogant and conceited and has no humility at all. Thinks he's some kind of "gangsta". There's no need for it. He's a 19 year old kid who has proved fuck all so far. Ok he came on against Liverpool and changed the game but that doesn't mean he's made it. He needs to be putting in that kind of performance regularly and start scoring goals, and even then he doesn't have to have a massive attitude about him. Pardew should send him to Scunthorpe or Lincoln City on loan until the end of the season. Try and deflate his ego a bit.

Cannot imagine for one second that it being in a Sunday paper would have the right effect on Nile, the press love to slate us so using them to call one of your own players is just utter stupidity. I agree Nile seems like a total tit and an up himself little twat but then its upto Pardew to take the time to try and get through to him if he thinks he is worth the bother, or to sell him if he feels its not worth the effort. Its already been discussed, only a few pages back, why this might have happened. I personally don't see the issue with it, if he's spoken to the player in private, and asked team mates to do the same, and the player STILL hasn't listened. What else can he do?
