Fatty buying over $200,000 of Champers in New York as KK drama unfolds

Guest black n white

Ashley had earlier refused to cut short his US trip after appeals from Keegan to meet face to face and told club managing director Derek Llambias to deal with the situation.

If that truly is his attitude to the club I love then the sooner he sells up or chokes on a f***ing white truffle the better.

Well tbh it IS Llambias' job to sort this mess out. He's the chairman after all. He's paid to sort these kind of things out and to me at least, with my tiny amount of knowledge about the goings on of the last few days, he's the person to blame in all of this.

not ashleys fault for appointing him like and who decided the transfer policy

Of course it is. But that's a different (Though related) issue.

Perhaps Llambias should be sacked for his handling of the whole affair, but that doesn't make Ashley responsible for the decisions Llambias made.

Of course there's a possibility that Llambias rang Ashley up, explained the situation and asked for advice, then Ashley said "Just fire Keegan". In which case it is Ashley's fault. I guess that in the absence of any concrete information, it depends on which version of events we choose to make up as to who we then decide to blame.

seriously, people need to calm the fuck down about this shit, it's getting embarrassing and frankly half the people trusted mike ashley all summer to "know what he's he's doing" so what's changed?

he was buying champagne while llambias sacked KK - it'll all be part of the plan, no?

When Ashley took over NUFC, I knew nowt about Ashley

So I asked my best mate (who has dealt with him)

"what do you know about ashley?"

"Flashes all his money in strip joints and on drinks" was the reply

... I laughed it off at the time ..,. "what a lad!!"

Now it all fits into place... he's a proper cunt

He purely and simply wants to be liked!  So now there's no chance of a reprieve with the supporters I think he'll sell within the next week and Keegan will be reinstated by the new owners.

yeah i know, i'm still prickly about all these fucktards who told me to stop "moaning" all summer 'cause i wasn't happy with mikes transfer activity

i was "moaning" and not knowing what i was talking about but now an entirely different facet of mikes plan ('cause he must have one obviously) doesn't support what they want and fucken hell breaks loose

personally i like KK and wanted him to stay but the conflicts are/were obvious & assuming ashley does have his plan then he's chosen his idea above the man, noble really

also, for what it's worth, when we get bought out again in the very near future and an indian or whoever is throwing money at the team i for one think there are better managers out there we could choose to spend it, but that'll be me talking shite and moaning again probably

Both right on point.

Emotionally this situation sucks since KK is such a legend.

But - assuming Ashley is not such an idiot and he has a vision that includes this continental system at the club, then he is keeping to his guns like a leader is supposed to do.

Totally gutted Keegan has left. But I'm not passing judgment on Ashley yet.  We'll see what his next moves are...

To be fair, what do they want him to do? Sit and mope in a corner, he was on holiday, they're just trying to make stories out of nothing.

The chairman is meant to sort out that sort of shit, not the owner.

It's great the way the sun say a man "known only as PK" was with them. Despite them having a picture with Paul Kemsley next to Ashley and then later saying he stayed at Kemsley's flat.

I think PK has cleared shafted his mate by giving them the story, and the bar bill.

Apparently, they were both too ratarsed to remember what happened during the night, let alone what happened to the bar bill.  Kemsley might be ruthless but he wouldn't stitch up Ashley.  Also, they were apparently celebrating the completion of a deal to build a casino, not KK's departure as the Sun suggested.

The misses just pointed out if those pictures are recent how come someones smoking in the background. Also she thinks shes seen them before.

I don't think that UK legislation on smoking in public places covers the USA.

They may (or may not) have similar legislation over there.

Statewide smoking ban: July, 2003, banned in all workplaces, bars, restaurants, bowling alleys, pool halls, and company cars, except Indian casinos and cigar bars.

New York City, March 30, 2003, banned smoking in all restaurants, food-service establishments, and bars.

Indeed.

Some people are conspicuous by their absence of cringeworthy comments, and shameful lack of perception when they say they have been long term supporters of the club.

If the new owner has anything about him - and hopefully it will be today and hopefully it will be someone that actually understands what it takes to be successful and at least has a go at doing it - he will ask Keegan to come back.

Whether he will have the stomach for it I don't know, maybe not, but he should most definitely ask.

with a 200+ million "business" at stake, the holiday can be put to one side.
