dustynrg
Is Hughton really that bad? I mean what are you basing it on? Just the Hull game? I know i am. Woefully inept management; dreadful selection, poor motivation, bad timing of substitutions... just massively out of his depth. Did you see the game? Add to that a poisonous atmosphere with people watching people on the terraces instead of on the pitch.

The only highlights I've seen from it are the goals.
Andy
I don't know if he would turn out to be a bad choice, but I genuinely hope that we never have to go through the process of finding out.
Guest michaelfoster
Surely if anyone took over temporary we would just promote Richard Money, why waste time & money on appointing someone for 8 months, as if we were taken over the new man would know he would be replaced anyway. NG32
I dont know whether to laugh or cry. But i Have said in the past that O'Leary will manage this madhouse at somepoint.

Cheshire Mag
Why is there so much hate directed towards the man? His record is quite good; getting Leeds to the CL semi and finishing 6th (just missing out on 4th) with Villa are both great achievments. I wouldn't want him as a full-time appointment but an expirienced Premierleague boss until we get a new one can surely only be a good thing? Check where Leeds are now?O Leary is partly responsible for their current predicament with his ridiculous transfer policy, along with Ridsdale. Hardly O'Leary's fault like. If he wants a player the chairman has to release the funds for the player, not the manager!
Begbie
O'Leary? Ohh thats a new low :-[
brummie
If you weren't happy when KK said he couldn't compete with the top four, you'd better get used to O'Leary talking you down even more when, after the initial improvement which comes with a new manager, you settle into a rut. Let Hughton do it, FFS, don't appoint this arrogant numpty.
toontownman
yes yes yes yes yes Times ten. Would probably rather have him than Ince but there must be better choices even for the short term.

merlin
So it's come to this... You think THIS is bad? Just wait until another 2 weeks has gone by and we are still looking for a decent manager, because no-one who is any good will touch the club with a bargepole until Ashley has either sold OR(it could happen) withdrawn the club from the market because nobody will meet his outrageous valuation. Guest Chubby Jason
O'Leary? Can't abide the smarmy, dishonest git. Why?
gazza ladra
Yes. He is a very bad choice.
1878
He's rubbish. Relied on the chequebook at Leeds then took Villa backwards while fishing for sympathy over having to play "the young lads" on MOTD every single week. Plus, he's a smug cunt. chicago_shearer
I don't even think someone as desperate as O'Leary would take the job knowing that the next owner would almost certainly boot him out ASAP. Stick with Hughton until Ashley sells.
