I debate if Harrys tactics have had an effect.

Nah, i have to give him a lot of credit tbh. He's made some superb substitutions since he took over. Taking Hutton off and putting Gunter on when we're 4-2 down to our rivals with 10 minutes to go, looked like a wtf decision, but Gunter was excellent in that game. Putting Lennon on today and against Arsenal was excellent. Putting Hutton on at half time today was a great decision as he overlapped Bentley and offered width. Putting Pav on to partner Bent today was another good decision (altough it was pretty obvious he shouuld do that). Giving modric a free role is another excellent decision.

Still would never have thought you would have over come Liverpool who have been looking capable of shutting anyone out.

Maybe you caught Liverpool being too cocky thinking they have cracked this premiership lark just because they beat Chelsea last week.

We should have wrapped the game up when we had them under the cosh. We had our chances, didn't take them, and paid for it.

Must admit I was surprised at the result. Heard the first 20 minutes or so on 5Live and it sounded like an absolute stroll for your lads. Very uncharacteristic of you so far this season to lose it like you did

Benitez mad some stupid substitutions which helped tbh. Keane was looking lively and should have been kept on (at least for a bit longer). Riera also had a good game and should have been kept on (altough he was looking tired). Neither of your subs made no impact wotsoever.

Come to think of it, you lot played some cracking stuff at times and no one really had a bad game (except your 2 centre backs and dossena who i think is a poor left back).

Another thing, Benitez game plan on Modric was first class. Getting Maschereno to stick with him throughout the game was the way teams should play against us tbh.

Personally have no real problem with whats now happening for them and am just jealous really.

Their management realised their f*** up, acted, put it right and within 7 days are reaping the rewards.

Pity our fuckwit management team are not as decisive and positive thinking

This is quite right - they also have better players than us, despite some on here thinking that Guthrie is as good as Modric...

Redknapp has done a good job in his first few games, and obviously instilled confidence in his players ; their ability is now coming out...you don't beat Liverpool if you are a bad side - lets see how NUFC do against Villa......

You mean they thought their manager wasn't up to the job so replaced him, hardly similar to our situation was it?

A similar situation to ours was at West Ham, manager walks out but their fans do to sensible thing which was to be patient and wait to see what the management team do about replacing him, now West Ham have a new manager in place that the fans seem happy with and the old manager is forgotten.

Our fans on the other hand decided to take a different route by holding protests outside the ground, waving bedsheets around with incorrect spelling which fans all over the country had a good laugh at, they then decided to try and force the owner to sell the club and call for nobody to buy any pies or programmes until he did, with a few adults seen shouting at young kids for buying one, then when the owner does agree to sell a few of them set up a pressure group a realise one ridiculous statement after the other telling any potential new owner that we won't put up with any of their shit and threaten to write to all major club sponsors if the club isn't sold by the end of the season, this gets picked up by one the Internets most popular websites for football kit news which makes us a laughing stock again.

Then they wonder why the club is unstable at the moment and not like those clubs who's management teams were allowed to get on with things when decisions had to be made.

We had the game totally under control for the vast majority of it. We had Spurs pinned back, had a couple come back off the post and limited them to barely half-chances. We couldn't capitalise on the advantage, and paid for it dearly.

Agree totally about Dossena. Thing about the subs is that we didn't really need to shake it up as we were bossing the game, and who were we supposed to bring on to shake it up, anyway? Torres wasn't even in the squad. Babel scared the crap out of Chelsea when he came on at the Bridge, but didn't do anything of note today. Our game plan didn't need changing as such, it was more a matter of a change in the momentum of the game.

Credit to Spurs for forcing their own luck, as they did against Arsenal. Carragher own goal, Clichy slip. Two strokes of bad luck, and Spurs took advantage of them to the max.

Also Curbishley was no 'Messiah', he was on his way out regardless, he walked before he was pushed.

The manager walked out because the Board either changed the terms of his position regarding buying/selling players or simply promised him players that didn't materialise - this happened BECAUSE the club was being mismanaged from the top ; KK has a reputation for this sort of action but , as you well know, both Fergie & Wenger backed his stance - they thought his position had been made untenable...

The reaction of the fans was to be expected, not only because it was Keegan, but because this was yet ANOTHER NUFC disaster in the making, following 4 years of blunders from the previous regime ; also, because Ashley had demonstrated a cavalier attitude to the resignation by going to the USA instead of sorting it out..

Curbishley was a former West Ham player, but in no way as popular as KK at Newcastle - their fans were not too bothered about him leaving, and they had NOT had the turnover in managers that NUFC fans had seen over the past 5 years ; there is really no comparison between the two situations.

Whatever anyone's views about some of the Chavs who paraded for the Sky cameras(and they ARE a laughing stock), the majority of the club's fans believe that Ashley mishandled the situation - and they are quite right. He will now have to pay the price, either by coughing up to stop the club being relegated, or by having to accept a lower price than he wants to sell the club.

Agree completely.  What pushed the fans over the edge IMO was the complete and utter lack of communication from the club.  The manager was missing with all sorts of stories flying around yet the club said nothing.  They just left the fans to get more and more agitated by the day.  Then when it finally came out that he's left (from Keegan himself not the club) they bring out a statement that almost seems engineered to inflame the situation.  They just couldn't have handled it any worse.

With the arrival of Harry Redknapp, I honestly think Luca Modric will become a great player for spurs. This guy got a great football brain, and I think that if spurs can build up the game through him, spurs will shine. harry is a good manager and will get the best out of the team. I can't believe that people here on the forumet didn't want him. We got the likes of Souness, Roeder, Gullit, Joe Kinnear the last couple of years, and I would be more than glad to have appoint Harry Redknapp as manager.

New managers doing well makes perfect sense, the previous manager gets sacked because they're doing worse than they should, new mamager comes in and the form of the team returns to something like it should, looks like he is the answer.  Harry is not better than Jol, they've spent around 30 million I bet hiring and firing managerial teams to make no progress, I think I'll reserve my green eyes for Villa who are genuinely moving forward.
